Things that i always believed that existed, seem to be an illusion.
And things that i always denied the existence of in the past, seem to be what shape reality and rule the world.
But what is reality? And what is illusion?
Is the reality i am seeing the same as yours?
Perhaps not.

”Senno I” is the solo debut album by Tot Onyx aka Tommi Tokyo, who has been a founding member of the Japanese performance art/live electronics duo group A since 2012. They incorporated the use of the body in their noise & poetry-performances and they made some resonating appearances at festivals like Berlin Atonal. Adept at bending expectations, both live and recorded, the band’s formative early work echoes the experiential vocabulary in which Tommi continues to develop today. A practice in the rejection of tradition and cliché, which in Greil Marcus's words, "Share the principles of negation, rebellion, destruction and détournement”.

Tommi Tokyo has worked in graphic design and photography and has worked for theatre and other forms of stage arts. Tot Onyx is her deeply personal project which shares the founding energies of group A, but is traveling deeper and elsewhere. This is a rich study of her interior life.

As the first and only dedicated label to liberate the private, non-commercial artefacts from Suzanne Ciani’s groundbreaking Ciani Musica studio vault, Finders Keepers Records presents an incredible cryogenically suspended slice of precious precocious immersive fledgling synthesis for this ultra limited RSD 2107 title.Ironically well removed from the intension of phonographic application in its original inception, this anti-pop wash of marine biology modular synth sound design was originally proposed by a very young Ciani for exclusive infinite loop airings in a giant mid-American shopping mall aquarium in 1977.
Potentially conjuring ambient scenes from the consumerist satirical Dawn Of The Dead while sonically ushering a genuine desire for total musical science reevaluation/revolution via a decidedly mainstream portal, the Fish Music project is a striking eerie example of how Ciani’s “Subversion With A Smile” approach led to a long career breaking boundaries in formal music technology, film scoring, the advertising industry and gender equality – all of which has continued to fuel her passion and channel her life lust and artistic appetite much to the benefit of future ambitious trajectories of music.
Owing much to the memory of genuine synthesiser maverick Don Buchla this conceptual release is very much the product of artistic America at its progressive halcyon but, with its illustrious and idiosyncratic composition, communicates subtle undertones of Suzanne’s feminine Italian origins which seldom reside outside of the efforts of Roman library composers like Casa, Tomassi, Raskovich and siblings Antonioni and Maria Teresa Luciani. Presented here as an isolated one-sided pressing on aquatic clear vinyl and including the original press release and a press cutting this limited release proceeds a wider series of unreleased Ciani work for 2017. File under… water.

Inspired by open spaces (and the objects that interrupt them), META DOOR L is the latest auditory excursion from Perila. Expansive in scope, it extracts beauty from the organic and inorganic alike, tapping into the wonder of the outdoors as it revels in the unique properties of metal—both as a material and a sound source. Building on her work for labels like Sferic, Motion Ward, and Boomkat Editions, META DOOR L is rooted in field recordings extracted from the wilderness outside Tbilisi, where a series of hiking expeditions led Perila to chance encounters with metal tubes, large rocks and the ruins of an old house. In the months that followed, these recordings were patiently processed, degraded and transformed, their misshapen remains welded together by hazy ambient atmospheres and textured soundscapes. From there, the St. Petersburg-raised, Berlin-based artist pushed herself into new creative territory, searching for the innate (and decidedly non-linear) rhythms lurking within her dense sonic stratigraphy. META DOOR L is the hypnotic end result, an immersive listen whose lush tones and guttural rumbles coalesce into something utterly transportive.
