I love BoC and am so honored to DJ and be a part of organizing this event along with the rest of the Space Cowboys. It was a thrill to get to play in front of a packed house on a beautiful day with the best community I could imagine being a part of. Big thanks to Rumblemunk for putting long hours behind the production desk on our new track played out for the time that day and Jen Tiu and friends for encouraging and supporting my efforts. Maxwell Sweeney has proved himself our understated golden boy this year, quietly carving out his niche for intelligently crafted drum &bass. The once Londoner now offers up a first for the Soulvent imprint, a foray into tempos outside 170, truly showcasing his understanding for all things electronic, he plates up a six-course array of aural appetisers (free from additives).

Moving effortlessly to perhaps the penultimate big finish; the garage influence of Eve and The Opal is undeniable. Relaxing chimes and building percussion gives us a deeper look into Max’s understanding of London’s quiet heartbeat.

Monika - Eve & The Opal

This mix -- my fourth mix for the 24hr project -- represents the hour of sunset, when day ends and night breaks.

For night break, I took the opportunity to make my most breakbeat-y mix yet. Broken beats weave in and out of four on the floor, alternating between ethereal and driving.

Liquidmotions Vol. 2 - Mixed by Ideal Noise [Free 320K D/L]

Music is my therapy ...It all started with being mesmerized listening to the hypnotic beat of Kraftwerk’s “Trans Euro Express” on a tiny cassette player at a very young age and it continues to this day at an age when I have to worry about “more important” things in life.

This page is an attempt in getting back to mixing some favorite tunes and documenting my ever changing moods and tastes. Any and all comments are welcome and much appreciated.
