My original intention was to include this track on the Foundation album, but it didn't quite fit... mainly due to its slightly "breathless" quality. I don't often do this but I got a bit carried away with the synth and guitar "wig-out" towards the end. The synth lead was played on a Native Instruments Maschine 2 pad, rather than a keyboard.

IMAGES is a numbered series of original piano pieces inspired by the music impressionists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries... Ravel, Debussy and Faure. I love the impressionist painters. As a composer, I hear colors, the painter sees. And, I hear movement, shape and expression with sounds of melody, rhythm and emotion.

I hope you enjoy this collection. I would love your thoughts about how the music makes you feel, the story you imagine and the images you see when you listen. :)

This track was born out of being quite sick and while creating it, I had some big shifts in consciousness, ultimately taking me to a place of both acceptance and surrender, as well as an experience of climbing out of patterns that bind.

Venus can't be pigeonholed into a single style, as it's so versatile. Several styles are represented, all of which can be heard very consistently. It's probably the versatility of the music that piqued my interest. From ambient to drone/dark, classic EM to the Berlin School, Romerium offers it all, with the highest quality and its own unique style!
