Owner of the Homies Cuts edit label and related club nights in his home of Ibiza, French-Brazilian Camilo is perhaps best known for living the Balearic dream as Music Curator and resident DJ at Pikes Hotel, where he holds court over the decks both poolside and on the small dancefloor seen in so many Instagram videos. Camilo’s super-eclecticism makes this mix something special as he flits from genre to genre, language to language, making the world of music the ingredients for a heady, relaxing & delicious cocktail.. Seasons greetings! We're closing out 2024 with a selector that perhaps needs no further introduction, but in case you've been living under a rock for the past 15 years, we are extremely excited to present the next Idle Cellars mix by the one and only EDDIE C! Mr. C (NOT THAT ONE) is, in our esteemed opinion, one of the best DJ's in the entire world and we're crazy stoked to have him as the next IC mix for your listening pleasure. Canada-born & Berlin-bred, Eddie has been gallivanting all over the globe as a musical expert in a world of tourists, ready to spread good vibes and his sparkling personality (plus that Canadian politeness we always hear about) to the four corners of the planet. 

His resume is, frankly, ridiculous. As a producer and "editor", Eddie is responsible for countless fantastic releases across disco edit labels like his own RED MOTORBIKE, COMMON EDIT, 7 INCHES OF LOVE, KOLOUR LTD, SLEAZY BEATS, LUMBERJACKS IN HELL and many, many more, plus he's been fully embraced by the Japanese contingent with many releases on MULE sublabel ENDLESS FLIGHT as well as CRUE-L & SOUNDOFSPEED. The man's discography as a producer is as wide as it is deep and he continues to be extremely active with new remixes or originals coming out regularly.

DJ-wise our boy has the chops to be dropped into any situation and rock the party, whether that's at Cafe Del Mar, Panoramabar, the Sunset Campout or dodgy mafia-run nightclubs in deepest Eastern Europe. To put it succinctly, he is...THE MAN. 

We think Eddie C is a perfect closer to our year. Max Essa (@max-essa) has been active as a producer and DJ since the early 90s, initially releasing music on labels including Warp Records and Paper Recordings and DJing alongside the infamous D.i.Y Sound System.

His later work, for labels like Is It Balearic? Recordings, went on to be play-listed by legends such as Andrew Weatherall and David Mancuso, gaining him a devoted following and DJ bookings around the world.

Albums for the Japanese major label, Victor Entertainment ('Vacations Never Taken' 2015) and Music For Dreams ('Lanterns' 2018), plus EPs for labels including Hell Yeah! Recordings and Razor N Tape (with Eddie C), and a constant stream of remixes for labels like Compost, Ubiquity, Faze Action and Leng have shown him to be a prolific and deeply imaginative producer.

Since 2008 he has been based in Japan where he plays regularly at clubs and events around the country, from Hokkaido to Okinawa.
From 2010 - 2023 he was a resident DJ at the Lone Star parties, and later the Zim Zam Zu! events at the legendary, Bar Bonobo and for over a decade has been a resident at the ever popular, Aoyama Tunnel in Tokyo.

Eddie C is a Canadian DJ, producer, and vinyl enthusiast known for his warm, groove-driven blend of disco, house, funk, and balearic sounds. Originally from Southern Ontario, Eddie’s musical journey began in the late ‘80s, influenced by hip-hop and the early acid house scene. He started by making tape edits of late-night radio shows and immersing himself in warehouse parties.

His diverse taste and deep record knowledge were honed through years of university radio and 1990s raves, eventually leading him to craft eclectic, soulful DJ sets that span boogie, slo-mo disco, and deep house.

In 2010, Eddie founded Red Motorbike, a vinyl-only label that’s become a cult favorite for its dusty, analog-inspired cuts. His productions and edits have appeared on respected labels like Razor-N-Tape, Endless Flight, and Crue-L Records.

Now based in Vancouver Island - after leaving Berlin in 2020 and being a nomad for three years - he continues to tour internationally, thanks to his soulful, genre-blending sets and unwavering dedication to underground music culture.

Oh! We almost forget to tell you he recently launched his brand-new label, Disko Universal, debuting with an EP in collaboration with Keitano Sano. Don’t miss it!

Lou Lou has landed on the Kasheme wavelength with a constellation of soulful spells, syrupy grooves, and tropical rhythms. 

His sets are sun-warmed, bass rooted and shimmy with light, dancing between jazz-funk oddities, deep-house undercurrents, Latin and Brazilian waves,  and arrow-pierced soul.

Before Kasheme, Lou Lou earned his stripes in Berlin’s sync world. Pitching for Netflix-bound series or VICE, he represented a catalogue ranging from Cannes-certified soundtracks, to the cosmic pop of L’Impératrice, not to mention the odd cult-gems (hello, Asha Puthli!). Off the clock — he dissolved hours of his time in vinyl portals and the more soulful side of the Berlin nightlife. 

From bar back to radio resident, his Kasheme story continues to unfold. In this mix, expect some groove-heavy lift offs in the lands of funk, soul and disco. Tune in every Monday to hear our Mister Sunshine bring the vibes from 4 to 5 PM.

Idle Cellars is a boutique winery located in Sonoma County, California. We are Ben Larks, a teacher and explorer from Los Angeles and Ari Heavner, an entrepreneur from Berkeley. Our shared affinity for world travel and adventure led us to connect in 2006 while working crush in Sonoma. Idle Cellars was born with our first batch of Cabernet Sauvignon reflecting, as in most harmonious relationships, a balanced yin and yang between city dwelling Heavner and country living Larks. We strive to produce an elegantly balanced wine through our grace of art. Our belief is that the essence of winemaking is getting dirty in the vineyard, ensuring the best of Sonoma. We make it from the vine to the bottle through hands-on craftsmanship. Our knowledge and deep understanding of our agricultural surroundings allows us to choose what we believe are the best processes for each varietal of wine. Working together for 17 years now, Ben and Ari’s winemaking bond is stronger than ever, escalating the Idle movement one glass at a time. 
Music is such an important part of our lives and our wine making experience, we decided to start a mix series which is a musical representation of an #idlemoment.
