Philosophy and the Art of Writing — A Workshop with Professor Richard Shusterman took place on April 26, 2023 at Colégio Almada Negreiros, NOVA University Lisbon. With the presence of Prof. Richard Shusterman and participation of members of the group Forms of Life and Practices of Philosophy, this workshop promoted discussion on the main topics of Shusterman's book "Philosophy and the Art of Writing" (Routledge, 2022).

The workshop was organized by Bartholomew Ryan & Marta Faustino and took place within the scope of the activities of the research group Forms of Life and Practices of Philosophy, coordinated by Bartholomew Ryan, and the exploratory project Mapping Philosophy as a Way of Life: An Ancient Model, A Contemporary Approach, coordinated by Marta Faustino.

Jordi Crespo (Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona) gave a presentation entitled “From Galen to Loyola: Some Remarks about the Foundations and Scope of Philosophy as a Way of Life” in the context of the international conference "What Exactly is Philosophy as a Way of Life? Boundaries, Crossroads, Deadlocks". Organized by Marta Faustino (NOVA University of Lisbon) & Hélder Telo (University of Beira Interior), the kick-off conference of the Exploratory Project “Mapping Philosophy as a Way of Life: An Ancient Model, A Contemporary Approach” took place from 5 to 6 July 2023 at NOVA FCSH — NOVA University Lisbon.
