Milian Mori is a composer and digital artist based in Switzerland. As part of his solo work he integrates dance, algorithms, pixels, and club music. In the last 12 years mori has developed a musical language that aims to expand, project and reinterpret dance music's common vocabulary.
Mori shares his deep interest in combining mathematics, geometry and data with emotion, dance and fulfillment: Technology meets nature, binary meets fluids, algorithm meets spirituality, dualism meets triality, machine meets human, randomness meets self similarity. All of his works are trying to open the space which exceeds dualism. His art doesn’t want to answer, nor does it aim to question.
His debut album »as you were listening«, released via raster, captures the spirit of his previous works as well as establishes a new vision in which he endeavours to fuse pop culture with the art world. In »As you were listening« he’s using the distinct language of dub techno whilst attempting to expand the genre’s vocabulary with new changes, elements and aesthetics.
Mori has been involved in numerous collaborations and a wide array of arts projects, as well as working as a composer, DIY installation artist, sound designer, recording and sound engineer.

Jaba Shavishvili Presents Japanese Hip-Hop Music
Japanese hip hop refers to the local Hip Hop scene that arose in the 1980s, as DJs such as Hiroshi Fujiwara and DJ Krush brought American hip hop records into Japanese clubs. The popularity of such performances led to Japanese artists such as キングギドラ [King Giddra] and スチャダラパー [Scha Dara Parr] starting to produce their own music; heavily influenced by East Coast Hip Hop artists such as the Beastie Boys, even to the point of being considered derivative. However, throughout the 1990s, the sounds of Japanese hip hop became deeply engrained in Tokyo's culture, through the breakdancing and disco scenes of the city.

I think that ambient music is the music that does not limit how to listen. I hope this album will be familiar to each way of listening to music.

Enitokwa

Mr. Isao Tomita, a pioneer of synthesizer music, has left a word that "electronic and human beings are phenomena" as well as before life. That moment and eternity the dust of the universe gathers and eventually returns to the dust of the universe. Listening to Enitokwa's music, such feelings go round.

シンセサイザー・ミュージックの先駆者、富田勲さんが生前に、「電子音も人間も現象である」と言葉を残されています。宇宙の塵が集合し、やがてまた宇宙の塵へと戻る、その一瞬と永遠。Enitokwaの音楽を聴いて、そんな想いが巡ります。

Chee Shimizu

It is a sound richly containing theanine (sweet ingredient of tea), a gem that can taste slowly and lean heart. A documentary scenery sound reminiscent of the tea making process at Ujikoen is arranged in the whole story, and the virtuous thing with a frankly act is very refreshing.
Please try to entrust with peace of mind in "definite" works which extracted carefully every single drop.

It has been inherited the calmness from Keizan Temple constantly since 700 years ago.
How does the former pioneers feel the fragrance that Enitokwa brings up？

テアニン(お茶の甘み成分)を芳醇に含んだ音であり、心を傾けてゆっくりと味わうことの出来る逸品。宇治香園での製茶工程を想起させるドキュメンタリーな風景音が全編に配置されており、そこはかとない作為との妙がとても静涼です。 一滴一滴丁寧に抽出された"確実な"作品に安心して身を委ねてみて下さい。
