Igor Carmo – DJ & Producer

Hailing from Lisbon, Portugal, Igor Carmo is a seasoned DJ and producer whose journey through electronic music spans more than 15 years. With roots in skateboarding, record digging, and DJing at intimate parties during his early 20s, Igor’s passion for sound quickly grew into a full-fledged career. In 2005, he relocated to the UK, where his technical mastery and instinctive selection style began to attract international attention.

Igor’s breakthrough came in 2011 when, performing under the name Igor Project, he won the prestigious Mixmag & Ministry of Sound DJ Competition, a milestone that catapulted him onto the global stage. His accolades also include winning the Galaxy Radio West Midlands Street Life Championship and reaching the finals of the West Midlands Corona Movida Competition, affirming his reputation as one of the most versatile DJs of his generation.

As a resident at Ministry of Sound London, Igor honed his craft alongside some of the biggest names in electronic music—including Bob Sinclar, Roger Sanchez, Funk D’Void, Ian Pullen, and Alex Neri. Over the next four years, he toured extensively as both a resident and guest artist, performing across Europe, South America, and Asia, from Brazil and Colombia to Thailand and Vietnam. His ability to seamlessly adapt to diverse audiences while maintaining a signature sound has made him a trusted name on the international circuit.

Today, Igor’s sets are defined by a deep, groovy and house music sound, a style he’s cultivated to reflect his evolution as an artist. With releases on respected labels such as Ministry of Sound, Nervous Records, Café de Anatolia, and Natura Viva, Igor continues to push boundaries in the studio while delivering powerful, emotive performances on stage.
