This track was created while dreaming about the wonderful holiday we spent in Cornwall this year and the soothing, fulfilling and uplifting walks we took along the breathtakingly beautiful Coastal Path.

„Schattenblätter“ (14.11.2024)

Filigrane Blätter wiegen sich im kalten Nachtwind. Das Lebenselixier entzieht sich von Tag zu Tag aus dem Geäst der Bäume und Sträucher. 
Die nächtlichen Schatten dieses abschließenden Jahreszyklus kommen näher. 
Alle Blätter werden zu Schattenblättern. Von Zeit zu Zeit lässt das Mondlicht in der Nacht ihr übrig gebliebenes Blattkleid bizarre Schatten tanzen.
Bald wissend, dass sie vom letzten Hauch des Herbstwindes davongetragen werden.
Schwebend leise nur ein zartes rascheln ist zu hören.

"Shadow Leaves" (11/14/2024)

Filigree leaves sway in the cold night wind. The elixir of life is draining from the branches of the trees and bushes day by day.
The nightly shadows of this final annual cycle are coming closer.
All leaves become shadow leaves. From time to time the moonlight at night lets their remaining leaf dress dance bizarre shadows.
Soon knowing that they will be carried away by the last breath of the autumn wind.
Floating quietly, only a gentle rustling can be heard.

Shadow Leaves

The Assignment: Record a drone that goes from simple to complex to simple.
 
Step 1: You may, yourself, be experienced recording drone music, or you may never have recorded any. You may not even be sure what drone music is, in which case read up a bit. Not matter your experience and familiarity, please give some thought as to what constitutes drone music.

Step 2: Now think about what makes a drone simple and what makes a drone complex.

Step 3: Now record a piece of drone music that begins simple, gets complex, and then gets simple again. And note: The simple drone at the end needn’t necessarily be the same sort of drone with which the piece opens.

Edits: 
* Print 2: Reprint to remove clock errors in the outro. Less low end roll-off. 
* Print 3: Removed some Lexicon ticks

Notes:
* Clicky drone: Arturia Microfreak “Cliched Things” into Lexicon PCM 41, full square wave modulation, fed to a spring reverb by a Radial Tank Driver.
* Pad: Waldorf Blofeld “Sonnenaufgang”.
* Piano: Roland MP-600 into Memory Man Deluxe.

Glimorrow is the glow of a possible life shimmering just out of reach.  
A quiet moment that feels familiar but never fully belonged to you.  
A memory of something you almost lived.

This piece drifts through warm blurred chords, soft granular textures and a pulse that fades as quickly as it appears. Created for dreaming, writing, late-night thinking and emotional wandering.

Lore - The Glow Beyond the Door:
At the edge of sleep you saw it -  
a room lit by a copper-blue light you didn’t recognize,  
yet felt strangely attached to.  
When you reached for the door, the glow collapsed inward,  
leaving only a soft warmth in your hands.
