To participate in the Haiku Music challenge::

- Make a song in response to the weekly assigned poem (a new poem is published every Wednesday)
- When choosing a title for your piece also include the assignment number, for example “Title of your track (naviarhaiku382)”

To submit your track:

- If you’re a Soundcloud user, upload it on Soundcloud and send me the URL via private message, or tag me in the track.
- If you upload your music on Youtube, Bandcamp or anywhere else, upload your submission and then send me the link by email at marco@naviarrecords.com or contact me on X, Facebook or Instagram

haiku #569: Resplendent the kite soaring up above the shanty town

In the quaint suburban, preciously one square mile neighborhood of Willowbrook, a peculiar phenomenon unfolds beneath the facade of everyday life. Here, amidst the picket fences and neatly trimmed lawns, lies a secret known only to its inhabitants: the ability to walk through walls. It's a gift that defies logic, a quirk of reality that shapes the lives of those who call Willowbrook home.

Secondo incontro con il brano di Marco Lucchi.
Cambio di metodologia: pezzo essenzialmente strumentale, con un continuo contrappunto al fluire del piano di Marco.

Strumentazione:

1) Contrabasso. Con arcata ampia e sostenuta, ideale bordone per la partitura sovrastante.
2) Calimba (molto riverberata) e mellotron. Sono i suoni armonico/percussivi che fanno da contrappunto costante al pianoforte principale.

Ideale allegoria di un passare nel chiaroscuro della luce, nella natura pura e incontaminata.

Recorded, mixed & mastered 27 Nov 2024 by Jim Lemanowicz at Blissville Electro-Magnetic Laboratories of Massapequa.

This piece is a section of a longer generative improvisation. Using a patch I created earlier in the evening on Arturia Prophet V3 in the VS mode, I started in Bitwig with a few sequenced notes, Nitwig’s own random elements, CodeFN42 RandArp & iZotope’s Neoverb. I chose a small section to replicate across four tracks in Ableton Live and committed some variation with Live’s native devices and some other iZotope plugins. 

This original version of "Ion Exchange & Found" was submitted as part of Naviar Haiku 569, Resplendent.
