2023 has come to an end and what a joyride of a year it has been. We have received a lot of love from our listeners and our guests. We cannot wait to show you what's in store for 2024.

The first mix of the year comes from a very close friend and an incredibly talented artist. An artist constantly in the pursuit of emotion and melody, Yahra is a rising talent in the deeper realm of the electronic music community. A strong affinity to lush and cinematic soundscapes act as a significant driving force in his original productions. Yahra has spent the last few years honing his craft as a musician emphasizing heavily on individuality, taking creative inspiration from his love for traveling to picturesque spots around the world and through all of this hoping to develop a unique sound for himself.

With releases on established imprints such as 3rd Avenue, Flug Lab, The Purr and more, Yahra makes it a point to dig deep into the catalogs for music in his live performances, thus providing a new and unique perspective to his audiences on the dance floor. All this is well showcased by his solid following in Arizona with performances as a supporting act for world-renowned names like Andrew Bayer, Booka Shade, Jody Wisternoff, Luttrell, Two Lanes and many more.

This week we are back on the trail of finding up and coming DJ's, DJ's and artists you didn't know you needed to hear yet, the future of our scene. Our search brings us back to Poland, and the home of an aspiring duo eager to make their mark, by creating sonic journeys that breaks genres, not just dance floors. Make some noise for Czapinscy! 

Pete & Piscore (Czapinscy) are a synergistic duo of sound explorers who have joined in their efforts to deliver an immersive music experience. Their selection of tracks span a wide spectrum of styles, focusing on specific directions that carry the essence of the underground scene - from charming Progressive house to mesmerising Techno rhythms.

Harder sets feature tracks from genres such as UK Acid House, dark, deep, tribal and hard Techno. Present on the scene for some time now, they focus on providing guest mixes for local and international broadcasts. Czapinscy are particularly fond of playing in spaces unbound by solid concrete walls, perfectly capturing the atmosphere of their sets regardless of their timing or standing.

Hello and welcome to the Exclusive Series (with Subcode)

Featuring the skills and talents of Dublin's unique trio of Electronic music artists, Fusion Underground. Each month we highlight each of our DJ's Glenn Molloy/Gorgonoize, Soulfinder and Khakra, with a 2 hour set aired every 4th Thursday of the month.

This month, we kick off the new year in smart fashion with Khankra, Dave Morrissey, for yet another outstanding 2 hours. 

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Khankra’s passion for electronic music started at a young age and has continued to evolve with time. Khankra’s roots have always been entwined in hypnotic grooves, rolling basslines and driving melodies.

At 17 he purchased his first set of 1210’s and from there he began forging a name for himself in the Dublin scene, playing at nights across some of the city’s best clubs like The Redbox, The Pod, the Button Factory, Traffic, Mono, The Chocolate Bar.

After somewhat of a hiatus from the scene, in 2014 Khankra had the opportunity to warm up for industry icon, and personal hero, Sasha at The Button Factory.

Following this, Khankra teamed up with the Melodic Residents and handed the headphones over to some other industry legends during this time, including Nick Warren, Sebastien Leger, Los Soruba, The Drifter and Guy J on a number of memorable occasions.

In late 2019, Khankra teamed up with DJ’s Glenn Molloy and Soulfinder to form Fusion Underground. Since then the group have started the Fusion Underground Mix series, which has had some excellent support across the industry and continues to grow.

Khankra has a number of Production projects in play, adding to his releases already on Compatible Records. We should also expect to see Khankra and some top acts playing at Fusion Underground gigs in the near future!
