This week, we've not so far to travel. The Podcast has landed back in Dublin and one of her brightest and newest talents. Resident of one of the biggest nights in the capital, and releases on ICONYC & NaturaSonis under his belt already, we're sure this man is destined for big things. PFG give it up, for Gavin Rochford!!

Sligo-born DJ and producer, Gavin Rochford has, over the last few years started to become a known contributor to the Progressive and Melodic scene with his production skills, while also pushing his DJ output in his current home of Dublin. Gavin can be found playing in clubs like Opium and Tengu with the Melodic Dublin crew, where he has become a trusted resident of their long running events and club night.
As a resident of Melodic, this has seen Gavin support some of the biggest names in melodic house, from Sebastien Leger and Matthias Meyer, to Guy J and Henry Saiz on a regular basis. This, coupled with his production skills, has seen Gavin release on labels like Sound Avenue, MNL, ICONYC and most recently, catching the eye of Henry Saiz‘ Natura Sonoris label, winning their Quarantine Demo competition and releasing a track on the label earlier this year.

Bio:
Døc is a musical project by Irish DJ and producer Darren Doherty. A well established name on the Irish clubbing scene, Døc’s first real experience of dance music happened after he snuck into a nightclub at the tender age of fifteen, instantly falling in love with the tunes, atmosphere and vibes, Doherty promised himself that one day he would return to the club, Privilege, Longford, as a DJ. He then devoted himself to achieving that goal and eventually enjoyed a very successful residency there.

With over twenty year’s worth of experience behind the decks, it’s safe to say that Døc is an artist who has truly mastered his craft. Based in Sligo, the home to clubbing in the west of Ireland, Døc has been controlling crowds in the region with his genre hopping brand of deep, progressive and techy basslines for well over a decade, never failing to lift the energy in a room and create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back and begging for more. Having played in many of Ireland’s biggest and most popular venues, Døc has played a number of international shows, most notably at the Circle Warehouse Party London, Sankeys Ibiza, Eden Ibiza, Circle Miami and Hï Ibiza, supporting the likes of Danny Howells, Clive Henry and Alex Arnout in the process.

Døc is also an extremely accomplished producer, having been making his own original productions for over ten years. He has a string of successful releases behind him, both as part of the Døc project and under other aliases. He has had a number of tracks signed to Suro Recordings including his collaboration with Marc de Pulse on the track Birthing Star, released in September 2017. Døc’s music has received support from some real heavy hitters in the industry, including Nick Warren, one of the world’s best known progressive DJs.

Døc currently holds several local and international residencies, including slots at Spiral Tree, Longford and appearances with Circle Experience in London, Ibiza, Miami & Berlin. He also often plays guest slots with some of Ireland’s leading club brands in venues up and down the country. With a regular podcast series, Døc-Cast and Døc's Picks and his new residency on Ibiza Club News radio, it is evident that Doherty is one of the hardest working DJs currently on the Irish scene, and one that is set to be here for many years to come.

Originally from Scotlands coastal East Lothian but now based in Edinburgh . Very broad musical tastes influenced over the years, my parents loved a party, their music definitely influenced me.

I was into early gangsta rap in 90s, then Leftfield,Daft punk etc , whilst working in a kitchen as a teenager in a Saturday, i listened to Pete Tong before finishing work and heading home for the essential mix later! 

Became hooked on clubbing during the early days of prog , 2000 onwards it was every weekend nearly.My love of clubbing and music has never stopped from those days.


Picked up Belt drive turntables before moving to 1210s in 06 and added Pioneers, I still use vinyl but mainly digital nowadays.


Over the years I have played in clubs in Edinburgh at nights such as Beatroot, Karnival. 

Aswell as Edinburgh I have also played at Kinfolk in Williamsburg ,Brooklyn NYC, Cariocas Beach Bar in Greece and also in the glamorous Cote d'Azur areas of St Raphael/Frejus. 

I hit a buffer in 2018 due to family circumstances and it wasn't until 2020 I got back into DJing again. 

I did 2 vinyl live streams during lockdown and afterwards I was Invited to do guest mixes for Online group PFG , I was then asked by Steven Mccreery and Kev Wright to do mixes for Beat 106. In July 2022 I was asked by Belgium/France based station, Xbeat radio to do a mix. I have since done a further 6 mixes for them .

The Pinnacle for me has been playing at the mighty Skyline parties in Glasgow, I was first asked to play at their 2nd Birthday Sudbeat Showcase in May 2024 alongside Graziano Raffa, Marcelo Vasami, Nicolas Rada, GMJ and Matter .

Incredibly I was asked to play again at the Selador records party in September 2024. Dave Seaman and  Steve Parry, alongside Kasey Taylor,Tara Brooks.

I like to try and use music from many different genres and artists. Anything goes ! 

From Ambient sounds to Hip Hop,Jazz,Disco and on to good ol House music with anything else in-between! 

I continue to record guest mixes for stations around Europe and hopefully beyond in the future ,
