Hello everyone, and welcome aboard the PFG Progcast!  Step right up for your weekly dose of the hottest prog beats, bought to you from around the globe exclusively for your ears only..

In the 2 years and more that the Progcast has been running we have never had a back to back DJ Mix, well thanks to our DJs today, we are about to put that record straight! Born and raised from both sides of the border here in Ireland, these two best friends have put together something very special indeed this week...

Hailing from Derry & Dublin respectively, Darren McMenamin & Colin Laird have been heavily immersed in the Irish dance music scene since the early 90s. After a chance meeting at a party in Dublin in 1999, the pair hit it off instantly through their shared passion for electronic music. 

What followed this saw many a weekend travelling to each others respective cities, playing at a variety of clubs & parties. The guys soon became the best of friends as they shared many musical experiences over the years. 

Over the last couple of years, by teaming up with their good friend Joe Doherty, the three now host their own monthly show, called Indoctrinate, on Saturo Sounds.  
Alongside this, Colly has teamed up with Joe to present a fortnightly show on Dublins Premier underground dance music station Phever.ie,  while Darren continues to DJ weekly all around the country and has also taken the plunge into music production too. 

Unbelievably, despite having played back to back countless times, this is the first time they’ve ever recorded a set together, and they can’t wait to share it with you!

PFG The Progcast - Episode 139 - Darren McMenamin & Colin Laird (IRL)

Hello everyone and welcome to PFG. As is customary now as the year draws to an end, we are proud to present our selection of the best tracks of 2022. 

What makes this collection so good? The fact that all the music has been selected by our wonderful community of like minded music lovers from around the world. In the year we all came out of lockdown, this mix is even more special. 

We have carefully chosen three top class artists to deliver this work to you, not only have they had an outstanding 2022 individually, they have had a brilliant impact within our group too. From mixes to artwork, to promotion to live gigs, our DJs jumped at the chance to compile this stunning opus. 

First off the blocks is Nathalie Henriette, who with the backing and trust of her best friend Harry Lemon, has taken 2022 by storm. Gaining not one but two headline gigs at ADE, as well as top nights in other countries and online guests for PFG and her own Exultation show. 2023 is going to be massive for her.

Aubrey Fry has had the year of his life musically and personally. When John Digweed closes every show on his January tour with “The Loop”, subsequently releases it on Bedrock, and then works with Charlie May and Alex Banks on remixes. And then to top that off, has no less than FOUR tracks on the ground breaking Quattro 3 compilation. Wow indeed!

Last and by no means least is Chris Scott, of the legendary production outfit Lexicon Avenue, the main man behind the awesome Forensic Records marque. 2022 saw him play his first post lockdown gig in Hungary, amongst many friends. The first full FR party in Newcastle with D-Nox as headliner, and meeting up with PFG as he played at our very first official pre-party before John Digweed in Manchester.

Finally a special mention goes to Harry Lemon, for kindly mastering the final mix, and Aubrey for this brilliant artwork. We do hope you enjoy, these tracks selected by you, mixed for you. Thanks again to these three wonderful human beings for their time and dedication not just now but all through 2022. We will be back for more next year, ENJOY!

Realms 19 - Aubrey Fry (Bedrock)DI-FM Exclusive

Hello and welcome to our 1st Exclusive Series (with Subcode) of 2023. Featuring the skills and talents of Dublin's unique trio of Electronic music artists. Each month we highlight each of our DJ's, with a 2 hour set aired every 4th Thursday of the month. 

January 2023 saw Khankra take to the decks. Dave always brings a unique style to his set's, often mixing in classics from the past, along with big dance floor anthems.  ENJOY!

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Khankra’s passion for electronic music started at a young age and has continued to evolve with time. Khankra’s roots have always been entwined in hypnotic grooves, rolling basslines and driving melodies.

At 17 he purchased his first set of 1210’s and from there he began forging a name for himself in the Dublin scene, playing at nights across some of the city’s best clubs like The Redbox, The Pod, the Button Factory, Traffic, Mono, The Chocolate Bar.

After somewhat of a hiatus from the scene, in 2014 Khankra had the opportunity to warm up for industry icon, and personal hero, Sasha at The Button Factory.

Following this, Khankra teamed up with the Melodic Residents and handed the headphones over to some other industry legends during this time, including Nick Warren, Sebastien Leger, Los Soruba, The Drifter and Guy J on a number of memorable occasions.

In late 2019, Khankra teamed up with DJ’s Glenn Molloy, Soulfinder and Ger Bozyk to form Fusion Underground. Since then the group have started the Fusion Underground Mix series, which has had some excellent support across the industry and continues to grow.

Khankra has a number of Production projects in play, adding to his releases already on Compatible Records. We should also expect to see Khankra and some top acts playing at Fusion Underground gigs in the near future!
