Hello and welcome to the Exclusive Series (with Subcode) Featuring the skills and talents of Dublin's unique trio of Electronic music artists, Fusion Underground. 

Each month we highlight each of our DJ's Glenn Molloy/Gorgonoize, Soulfinder and Khakra, with a 2 hour set aired every 4th Thursday of the month.

This month, November, it is back to Glenn Molloy, Gorgonoize for yet another outstanding 2 hours, packed full of dancefloor bangers ... 

Glenn Molloy is a Dublin-based DJ/producer specialising in melodic house and techno (as Gorgonoize). A fan of the scene since as far back as he can remember, sneaking into his brother's room to listen to rave mixtapes as a kid!

To Glenn, the transition from clubbing to DJing occurred fluidly and naturally, and he soon began to work as a resident DJ for a number of city centre venues, gaining warm up gigs for national festivals, and a weekly radio show on TWO of Dublin’s best underground stations over time.

Glenn is now collaborating with fellow Dubliners Soulfinder and Khankra on an events brand called Fusion Underground and is finally realising his ambitions. He has music under two aliases on OLD SQL, Mirabilis, Pro B Tech, and BC2 as Glenn Molloy, plus a release under his tougher tech nom de plume, Gorgonoize, on Opilec music. Enjoy the mix..

Hello and welcome to our Il Modo Exclusive Series Mix for November 2023, courtesy of Will Day.  

UK DJ – Will Day was born in 1978,  and by his 20's, had grown up with the sounds of The Prodigy, Carl Cox, and The Chemical Brothers, to name a few. He would frequently be found dancing along to some of best DJ’s in the scene of the 1990s, like Sasha and John Digweed at the Manor & Carl Cox, Alex P, Dave Seaman and Tall Paul at the Opera House, both clubs situated in Bournemouth. 

Will first started DJ'ing around 1997, at house parties in Bournemouth, and quickly moved onto club nights in London, as well gigs on the London festival scene. He currently plays at Bars and Clubs in and around  Reading, UK.

Will has been a resident DJ on Frisky Radio for 5 years with his show Phonic Dust, and has had a monthly residency show on All About The Music Radio (AATM radio) with his show Transcend. Plus many guest mixes for other Online Stations such as Without Wall, Subcode, Resonate Together, MixPub, and SaturoSounds.

Will’s style and inspiration are influenced by artists such as Sasha, John Digweed, Henry Saiz, Charlie May, Jamie Stevens, James Harcourt, Stelios Vassiloudis, Solee, Franky Wah, Matthias Meyer and Stephan Bodzin. 

Will's sets often feature a selection of underground electronic genres, a mixture of melodic, progressive house and breaks, techno, woven in-between beautiful vocals, glorious synths and killer chords. Will's sets are designed to put you in a dreamscape, framed by heavy-pounding techno beats, all dressed up in his signature smooth progressive style

The Exclusive Series -  Episode 34 - Will Day

Welcome to Wednesday and another exclusive edition of the Il Modo Progcast. Join us on our journeys around Planet Progressive, as we gain access to the finest DJ talents we can, delivering mixes for your listening pleasures...

This week, on the eve of St Andrews Day, we return to the home of a (now ex-pat) proud Scotsman, who has showed us support, strength and encouragement from day one. A highly skilled DJ, who has recently turned his talents towards graphic/AI design, we are delighted to present, Garry Howden! 

Garry has been DJ'ing since 1991, where as an 11 year old he used to play the hardcore tracks that formed the entrance into a new, burgeoning rave scene. A few years later, at the age of 16 he fell in love with the trance sound of the late 1990's. 

This love soon swayed towards Progressive House however, where Garry soon discovered Sasha, John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, Nick Warren & many more of those DJ's we now describe as icons. Naturally, and like so many ravers turned DJ's, this led to Garry, and his best friend Allan, to organise and plan their own nights. Hosted in their hometown of Fort William near Glasgow, this fledgling night was called Dysfunktion.

It was here that Garry was able to fine tune his DJ skills, often warming up for the likes of John '00' Fleming, Slam and Fergie. In doing so they would turn Dysfunktion into a popular night out, based as it was away from a major population centre. 

Garry still collects many records from this style of music and has loved the Progressive sound, both the new and classic styles. He continues to play even after moving to the USA to start a new family.

 More recently, as his taste and style has matured, Garry has rediscovered a lost passion for Breaks and Liquid Drum & Bass, finding its more diverse rhythms and melodies a more exciting and challenging form of music to engage with. Having produced several guest mixes for various online platforms, as well as keeping his own residencies on Saturo & PHUK, Garry delves once more into his catalogue of broken, atmospheric beats for this, his second guest mix on our platform.
