THE HUSTLE

The fruit was luxurious and sweet. She plucked it from the trees within the grove, the tall fences which lined the beautiful green branches seemed not as fierce and frightening as they first had when she had arrived. The manor house cast a long shadow down the garden and in the distance she could smell the delicious cooking of her mother. She ran between the leaves excitedly for she had spent too long beneath the sun for now. It was time to retreat to the shade. 

Olde Gods return with a gorgeous sun kissed sound as part of their new Tapes project. Fun edits with a dance floor focussed twist for the adventurous dj.

Before Christ is a new project from Craig Christon and Bonar Bradberry. Remix maestros Mushrooms Project take on both tracks. First up Barry's K is a moody brooding chuggy basement Jam with ethnic melody and dubby effects. The mighty Italians mellow out the groove and extend adding all there trademarks touches.Uh!. The second track is Tuesday Club is a techy machine funk bomb with shades of New Beat and a nod to Forgemasters. The Mushrooms boys bring the acid and soft melodic pads turning this into a dreamy heads down groover.

Craig Christon and Bonar Bradberry team up as Before Christ for this essential slice of brooding party fuel, leading in with the trippy, otherworldly tones of "Barry's K." From the grinding pulse of the analogue bassline to the mystical keys, it's the consummate astral traveler for DJs exploring the outer realms of the dancefloor. Mushroom Project gently rub more spaced out elements into the original, injecting a little light and letting the hits linger for longer in the ample space of their killer version. "Tuesday Club" finds Before Christ turning to a more sharp-edged rhythmic palette without losing the hypnotic qualities of their sound, before Mushroom Project return to lay down a rubbery 303 bassline that fits right in amongst the raw drum hits and dense FX processing.

Having discovered electronic music at the end of the 90’s, https://soundcloud.com/thomassjackson grew up going to raves where trance was one of the main styles played at this massive partys. The influence it had on him was planted deeply into his DNA and this EP is the interpretation he has these days of the genre. He moved on to different pastures soon after but the style was already in him.
Thomass now takes the old fashioned elements he still likes and takes them to new directions. Fueled by gated chords, dreamy arpeggios, trippy vocals and percussions this tracks are destined to take you back into the past and bring you right back to the present. Forget what you learned.
