A veteran of the midlands underground music scene, Neil Janke opens up his debut EP on The Groove Stage with two deep, lush, broken beat inspired tracks 'Get My Mind Right' & 'Hold On' which features stunning vocals from Nigerian singer Jaykay. Neil started his musical journey as a turntablist and even went on to compete in the DMCs as well as host numerous UK Hip Hop events up and down the country. Fast forward a few years after a musical hiatus to focus on pastures new, Neil is now fully back in the game as music producer. His debut release on The Groove Stage is a testament to his love of soulful dance sounds.

This tasty EP comes with remixes from three of Leicester's finest producers.... Jonna who has music previously released on the likes of Shadeleaf & Lumberjacks In Hell/BBE turns things up a notch with his 'City Fly Bump' of 'Hold On'. Next up is Darran P hot off the back of his 'Yadda Yadda' tune which has been a big summer hit for Gilles Peterson, Darran carry's on in the same vain with his Re-Dub. Flat White Records bossman, Flat White Chris rounds the package off nicely with a dreamy interpretation of 'Get My Mind Right'.

Dark Art is an electronic music dj/producer that has been active as an artist from 2018.

His journey in music began in his high school years when he fell in love with house music, only to spark an interest in him wanting to create his own music. That later led him to producing music with his childhood friend under an alias called ‘Deep Montage’ that was active from 2014.

Driven by his ideas, Dark Art decided to work on a solo project in 2016/17 which later led to him releasing his debut single ‘Stay’ on Black Medallion Recordings.

Dark Art’s mission is to create broad-appealing (Vocal Driven) electronic music that can be interpreted using different art forms. He wants to use his music to tell stories of those around him and of the world at large by the use of different artistic expressions with his music as a starting point.
