Guest Mix Vol. 197 'Subliminal Soul' (Colin Pierce aka NyL0C) Live Liquid DnB Session

Back from taking the week off and I was ready to spread my wings. Again, this session touches on a lot of different sounds. Got some feelgood rollers at the start, kind of atmospheric and soulful, moves into more driving liquid and about halfway into tech-inspired rollers. Dips down into more minimal wobblers during hour two before ramping back up into more soaring dancefloor rave territory towards the end. Sort of all over the place but in my head it made sense kind of lmao. Big up to everyone who came through for the stream. Cheers 🧡

Liquid Lovers Lounge (EP102|MAY27|2023)

This was an unexpectedly fun session. After a hefty work week I was feeling a little unprepared on Saturday and decided to sort of dig in to organize and analyze all the new music and promos and strategize on the direction this session was gonna take. A lot of the new stuff had that summer soul feel to it so I just let that be the guiding vibe. First hour was soulful feelgood lush liquid vibes for the most part. Things got a little darker and driving after the midpoint before settling into a stripped dark minimal roller type groove. Last 30 minutes I threw in a little jungle before bringing things down into some futuristic R&B vocal style liquid towards the end. Great turnout and interaction in the chat this week (We even had a Hype Train!). Really enjoyed myself. Much love to the LLL family 🖤

This is such a great original track, I had to remix this DnB. Goldfish are absolute house Music G's. I saw them in Amsterdam for ADE and then I had the luck to take the same flight home as them. I chatted them up and whn we landed they offered to hook me up with a lounge pass. Super nice dudes. I was able to catch them again during a 3 hour sunrise set at Burningman. They played this song as the sun was coming up and it was such a vibe!!

Chaos Shaman - Void Whispers [Premiere]

Impression is a DJ and producer currently residing in Saint Augustine, Florida. In the last few years, since the pandemic, he has truly found his sound within the realm of smooth, vibey, rhythmic Drum & Bass. He recently has released tunes on several prominent labels such as Fokuz, Celsius, FX909 Music, Soul Deep, Headsbass, Influenza Media, Soul Trader, Liquid Drops, Theoryon Records and Rolled Up Records. On top of that he has recently contributed music to the charity Liquid Drum & Bass 4 Autism presents: 'USA vs. U.K. A friendly Exhibition', 

Growing up in South Florida in the peak of the rave wave of the 90's he found himself inspired by this movement and became co-founder of the Y.O.U. crew. He established several residencies over the years and shared the stage with the biggest and greatest names in Drum & Bass. In 2008 he partnered and launched the label 'Urban Chemistry' under the name 'Fusion' and released tracks with DnB greats like Stunna, Submorphics, Command Strange and Mutt just to name a few.

Around this time Impression also started a weekly show on Bassdrive.com called 'Lab Sessions' which has been running deep for almost 17 years. With roots in the culture that span from Florida to all parts of the globe he has truly curated his sound and much like his production, his DJ sets and mixes are sure to deliver deep soulful vibes with funky progression and smooth, intricate blends. A crowd pleaser every time.
