Kaspiann - And So The Winter Arrived Again [VALA]

Delayed favorite IT-XPO is back with another addition to his constantly evolving catalog - “Ripple.” This time in the form of a six-track release at the intersection of deep house and dub techno - supplemented by an Lb Honne remix. 

The EP, named after a Grateful Dead song of the same name, arrives on UK-based Oleeva Records, which has featured releases from from artists including Sam Goku and Didacte, spanning across many shades of the house and techno spectrum, all with a more emotional flavor. 

“Untitled 049” is one of a few Fred P moments on “Ripple”, immediately getting percussive and builds up its airy, dubby tension throughout the first half,  before cathartically releasing, and once again falling back into an extended breakdown that finally leads to a maintained irresistible groove that slowly disintegrates at the end of the track. 

As is the case with most IT-XPO releases, this one contains energies suitable for every stage of a party, and the remix shows us a darker, harder-hitting side of Lb Honne. 

The EP comes out on Oleeva Records on November 17, 2023

PREMIERE: Nils Edte & Eafhm - Inmutar (MTRL Remix) [PREDAWN Records]

Alpenglühen, a Madrid-based record label known for its meticulous curation by Alfonso Pomeda, better known as F-on, presents its eighth release, the Berglüster EP by Whispering Signals founder Daniel[i]. 

With a deft hand, Daniel[i] crafts an immersive journey in BF 04, the closing track of this remarkable release and our premiere today. Drawing listeners in with a subtle mix of deep, atmospheric techno, BF 04 envelops the listener in a warm yet eerie ambiance, carefully balancing elements to avoid overwhelming any single aspect. As the track unfolds, a distant ambient atmosphere gradually gives way to a gentle rhythm and haunting vocals, evoking a sense of serene mystery akin to a warm rain on a secluded island. 

BF 04 and the rest of Berglüster EP are true gems and refreshing additions to the ever-expanding deep techno catalog. 

Scheduled for a limited vinyl release on March 2nd via Alpenglühen, this EP is one of the records that should land in your crate.

With „Recession Fever,“ FTP Doctor presents an EP that captures the soundtrack of our troubled times. Four unique tracks reflect the challenges and tensions of a society marked by recession and uncertainty.

The EP kicks off with „Glitter Jitter,“ a track that wraps the chaos of modern life within its modulating textured beats. „Discomfort Dance“ continues this journey, guiding the listener through a raw soundscape that is both unsettling and irresistibly danceable.
„Spiker Biker“ intensifies the ride with a whirling percussive synth pattern on top of a pulsating beat that mirrors the pressure and unpredictability of current times. The EP is rounded off with „Countryside Bounce,“ a track that turns all the stress into a humorous bouncy trip with its experimental clinking textures.
Next to the originals, Dycide‘s remix of „Discomfort Dance“ adds a touch of driving Grey Area energy to the record while Tenzia‘s remix of „Spiker Biker“ turned out as a massive intense stomping machine.

„Recession Fever“ is an acoustic reflection of our era that retains energy and a drive for movement with its raw sound design and unique grooves. A modern turn on dance music with all sorts of twists.
