A previously unheard set from the Murmuration Asia tour in 2017. Fond memories of one of the best clubs/teams I was lucky enough to come across on my travels during that period.

Alpenglühen, a Madrid-based record label known for its meticulous curation by Alfonso Pomeda, better known as F-on, presents its eighth release, the Berglüster EP by Whispering Signals founder Daniel[i]. 

With a deft hand, Daniel[i] crafts an immersive journey in BF 04, the closing track of this remarkable release and our premiere today. Drawing listeners in with a subtle mix of deep, atmospheric techno, BF 04 envelops the listener in a warm yet eerie ambiance, carefully balancing elements to avoid overwhelming any single aspect. As the track unfolds, a distant ambient atmosphere gradually gives way to a gentle rhythm and haunting vocals, evoking a sense of serene mystery akin to a warm rain on a secluded island. 

BF 04 and the rest of Berglüster EP are true gems and refreshing additions to the ever-expanding deep techno catalog. 

Scheduled for a limited vinyl release on March 2nd via Alpenglühen, this EP is one of the records that should land in your crate.

ÆXXIX - Worg (Live)

Copenhagen’s Echocord label returns this September with the release of the ‘Invincible Nature’ EP by Altone, featuring remixes from Thomas Fehlmann and Another Channel. Altone, the alias of Tokyo-based Yuki Takasaki, is a prominent figure in the Japanese dub techno scene, having released music on labels such as Greyscale, Lempuyang, Vuo and Æ Recordings. His unique take on dub techno has garnered international recognition within the underground scene. Now, he joins the esteemed Echocord label, a significant force in dub techno for over two decades, led by Kenneth Christiansen.

Today’s premiere features a laid-back, dub-infused remix by the legendary Swiss producer and composer Thomas Fehlmann, known for his work with The Orb and releases on labels like Kompakt, R&S, Tresor and Apollo to name a few. The remix is characterized by rich sub-bass, glitchy synth modulations that keep morphing throughout the track, and soft dub stabs that add a distinctive touch.
The track premieres today on Delayed, with the official release scheduled for September 6th.

PREMIERE: Altone - Naturally Unnatural (Naturally Flowing Thomas Fehlmann Remix) [Echocord]

Ambient Australian sounds are the name of today's premiere game as we welcome Mara, a key figure in Sydney's experimental scene to our platform. Her album, titled ‘At Every Corner’ is the first on fellow Aussie label, Pure Space and comes via their home listening series. Stretching through seven tracks, Mara guides the listener along a journey steeped in field recordings, snippets of past performances, spoken word and more.

Tokyo In 30,000 Steps tastefully combines several of Mara’s performances into one as the song progresses. Beginning with bird-like synth trills, and disembodied voices murmuring in the background. A feeling of energy persists and scattered attention spans fill the space. Almost as soon as it starts, a sudden change occurs, and darker, drone-like melodies emerge. Like a light and dark, contrasting moods, a call and response to symbolize the frenetic nature of today's lives.

Tokyo In 30,000 Steps and in turn, the remainder of Mara’s album will be released on September 19th.

Many artists find comfort staking their claim to a scene or genre, but leaving specifics behind and embracing the grey areas between strands of electronic music has helped Emily Jeanne emerge as one of the shining lights of dance music’s new guard. In fact, it’s those grey areas that Jeanne has always felt comfortable in. Historically a refuge for outliers in search of the esoteric, in recent times dance music finds itself at a crossroads where maintaining a sense of the individual is harder than ever. Emily’s authentic approach to production and Djing, that pits broken beats and left of centre derivatives in amongst more direct, dance floor material, can be seen as a direct reflection of the artist’s ever-shifting interior – and her comfort with a plural and undefined personal identity. Her musical output including 2020’s album Public by Default – and more recently, a pair of EPs released via Peder Mannerfelt’s much lauded eponymous imprint, are testament to this fact. Beyond her productions, a residency at Ghent’s Funke Club has allowed the artist a degree of world-building and an opportunity to stretch curatorial muscles.

We're delighted to have Neen in Decay Of Reason for our third reference. He is a well-known producer who is getting his music played all over the world.

On Dimension Interna EP he has a very clear vision of what his artistic message is, and it is to fuse the rhythm of the dance floors with sci-fi sounds to take the listener to another dimension. The work on the textures throughout the album is as valuable as its processing on the 909, which has its own mark without losing the essence of the machine.

In remix duties, Alderaan gives us a reinterpretation of Discusion Interna, a mental work that adds a different story to finish listening to the album.
