Marcel Fengler's IMF returns with another installment of the HARDPROOF VA series featuring Kabay, VNTM, Sol Ortega, Serge André, Danny Wabbit and KUSS. Fast-rising Sol Ortega hails from Buenos Aires and has a deep musical background and appreciation for Detroit techno that shines in her music on labels like FJAAK's Crowd. She straddles the line between simplicity and complexity on the fantastic 'Itaewon' which is deep but bouncy techno run-through with subtle, euphoric synth work that layers in rising excitement.

This edition kicks off with Polish-born audio mastering engineer Kabay, a three-deck DJ wizard with a fast-paced sound on labels like Vault Sessions and Clergy. He aims to bring a sense of mysticism to techno while appealing to the mind as well as the body. 'Felix Dream' does that fantastically well with haunting synths and eerie chords keeping you on edge as the supple, unrelenting drums race on below.

The debut release on Carícia Records sees longtime collaborators VIL and CRAVO refine the language they’ve developed through years of joint work, both individually and as members of the Hayes collective. Between them, their output on labels like Monnom Black, Klockworks, Self Reflektion and the aforementioned Hayes collective has consistently balanced precision with character, and this first chapter under their new imprint is no exception. Opening with SO RIGHT, the record sets a distinct tone, with rolling percussion and a hypnotic vocal line threading through the mix with restraint and control. 420%FODA leans into classic swing and texture, tightly looped and built for movement without ever overreaching. On the B-side, CRAVO oﬀers FUTUREDETROIT, a stripped-back piece with room to breathe, subtle in its shifts but firm in its intent.
