All of these tracks (and there are more) are all self-produced instrumentals for a work in progress, a hip hop album of mine. They are not mastered, may not be the final version, and due to this may be a little rough on the edges or lacking some elements that will be included later. With all that in mind, I think they definitely stand for themselves, though, and I wanted to give people a sneak preview into one of my current projects. These tracks are without the lyrical verses and choruses/hooks that will eventually be on top of them (recording those myself real soon - I've been droppin rhymes and makin music since around 1990). So as you listen, please imagine those lyrics and choruses/hooks being upon those tracks in the illest of fashions (I know, I know, most cats just talk). One thing that I feel has been missing from hip hop is elements of other electronic music (builds, certain rhythmic agendas, etc.), which I think you will find inside some of these tracks. Check 'em all out though cause my favs change all the time. Any and all feedback is always appreciated. Let the playlist ride, bang it loud, from beginning to end. False Prophets

I wanted to give people a sneak preview into my current project- a self-produced hip hop album entitled "Mind Over Matter."  A growing list of tracks with vocals (for just now, unmixed down and unmastered) is below. Giving you the real hip hop, a sneak preview of my project and album. Why? I think sharing the process of my project leads to higher levels of understandings in seeing that music is more than just a professional product, it comes from the heart, with faith in self and the very essence of existence through the way of sound... SHORT BIOGRAPHY: 

     A fan of hip hop since 1987, I have been making hip hop and rhyming since approximately 1993, inspired by when my best friend introduced me to hip hop and such acts as KRS-ONE, De La Soul, Wu-Tang, Eric B. and Rakim, Gangstarr, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, and Jeru the Damaja, to name a few; and when some of my other friends introduced me to one of the early Ensoniq sampling workstations/keyboards, and to rhyming and ciphers. I quickly became a student and fan of the art., without a second thought.
     
     From there, I grew into performing live Electronica in front of as many as 3000 people at a time. all the while never forgetting dream of making a hip hop album for the all the right reasons- knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.
     
     Over the years, thousands of rhymes and ciphers later, my skills grew. My rhyme skills are now, in many circles, legendary. Yet, I am still just a young Jedi, just as eager to grow and learn as I was when I started out,  but now understanding that we all have the capacity and responsibility to be students and teachers- every single one of us. Only then can we all see on a higher level.

Currently seeking to sign to a label that I can respect, that represents the real hip hop (knowledge, wisdom, understanding)...

Hip hop has been a major part of my life ever since I was in high school, inspired by when my best friend introduced me to hip hop and such acts as KRS-ONE, De La Soul, Wu-Tang, Rakim, Gangstarr, A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, The Roots, Killah Priest, The Fugees, and Jeru the Damaja, to name a few. Some off my other friends around the same time introduced me to one of the early Ensoniq sampling workstations/keyboards, and to rhyming and ciphers. I quickly became a student and fan of the art, eventually leading to a dream of making an album for the all the right reasons- knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. Since then, a lot has changed. Seeing the world for what it really is only inspires me more, affirms the heart of my lyrics even more, and gives me even more voice to reason.

The album’s name will be:

Yet, I am still just a young Jedi, just as eager to grow and learn as I was when I started out, but now understanding that with false prophets everywhere, every one of us has the responsibility to be students and teachers. We must be careful though. As Malcolm X said, “If you're not careful, the newspapers (I guess we can now include television, cable, the internet, and our English teachers) will have you hating the people who are oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing." Wicked, to me, is anything that deprives anyone from the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness, that hates, that attempts to trick, that does not care, that prophesizes any falsehood to the masses for the gain of the few, that which has no soul and wants to take the souls of others. Organized religion (official and “unofficial”), for the most part, does this. Religion hides under many and all disguises, taking no prisoner. Unfortunately, such wicked essence is often (but not always) disguised behind positions of power in entertainment, media, law, literature, music, culture and rhetoric. False prophets. Only through our individual and combined spiritual journeys can and will the low and high tides of destruction, propoganda, discrimination, and bad influence stop. Only then can we stop poverty, hunger, genocide, and war. Only then will all of our bloodlines reach their highest destinies, where all human being live in peace, harmony, and with the knowledge of the infinitebeyond.
