The Catalan prince of darkness Adrian Marth and his label Italo Moderni are one of the underground figures in the European scene mixing the darkest corners of the new avant-garde Italo/Acid/Electro. Adrian has been DJing & performing Live sets internationally in the last 5 years, at spots like Panorama Bar Berghain, HÖR radio, Nitsa, Le Sucre, Kapput, Funk, Laut, Human-Razz, Ombra Festival, Intergalactic Festival, SAT Montreal. 

He also makes a live set where he does vocals and plays the Octatrack. His label work in Italo Moderni includes vinyl releases from The Hacker, Legowelt, Djedjotronic, Timothy J. FairPlay, and Krishna Goineau from Liaisons Dangereuses, Marcel Dettmann.

Theoric Proximity, the debut album from Jus Jam, explores themes of connection, distance, and the subtle spaces in between. Each track contributes to a cohesive, dreamlike journey that reflects his personal and emotional approach to house and electronic music.

Placed early in the tracklist, Midnight Marauder stands out as a key moment in the album. Balancing early house and deep house, the track is carried by a warm, rounded bass line that drives the groove, while a brass sample adds a boom bap flavor rooted in Jus Jam’s hip-hop influences.

The atmosphere is airy and nostalgic, evoking the feeling of drifting through a summer city at night—heat lingering in the air, softened by a light breeze. Drawing on inspirations such as Space Ghost and Ron Trent, but also the spirit of groups like A Tribe Called Quest or Black Moon, Midnight Marauder encapsulates Jus Jam’s vision of house: music that grooves, that transports, equally at home on the dancefloor or in more intimate, reflective moments.

Walter Perlitz and Ileyf, known together CSL (@chinashippingline), have been DJing together for over a decade. They play very diverse and carefully selected sets and also produce their own tracks.

In october 2023 they released their first EP „Dream of Reality“ on Lyon-based label Jade and last year they contributed a track to one of the labels compilations. On March 28th this year their first vinyl EP „Future Contact“ was released on Barcelona and Berlin based label Diffuse Reality.

Moreover they contributed a track to a compilation on the Label Peri Style. Born and raised in Weimar, they soon moved to Halle and started organizing parties, resulting their own event series HD1A, which has been around since 2018.

In Flagranti (Sasa Crnobrnja & Alex Gloor)

The duo has always made a great case demonstrating how “inspiration” from the creative works of others can truly be made into something new and totally distinct from the source material.  But whether you know the source material bears major influence on what their interpretation is going to even sound like to you.  In other words, you could be hearing the same song as another listener is, but if you’re familiar with the source material, you’re going to also be hearing that, while someone who isn’t familiar with it won’t.  Most of their listeners have no idea this is even going on, or could even be allowed.
I figure I follow In Flagranti quite closely, but I only make a connection here, or a connection there.  Sometimes this happens immediately, other times it’s taken years to notice.  Most connections I will never even be aware of, and I don’t listen for them, they just stand out to me or they don’t.  Sometimes I only discover the source material long after I’ve been familar with In Flagranti’s take on it, which you’d think would detract from the latter, but for me, it only adds to it.  In Flagranti’s musical interpretations show a certain ethic and a philosophy that parallels their approach to visual content.  It’s so “meta” that I’m at a loss to describe it, except to say what I often do:  Warhol would be In Flagranti’s biggest fan if he was around to witness them. – truckerdisco.wordpress.com
