The core of Green Over Blue are Richard Whiteside and Brian Rust. They definitely have a foot in the Indie/Alternative camp, but also explore Electro, African, Latin, Folk, Americana and anything that they feel sounds right at the time.

They’re not afraid to wear their hearts on their sleeves and allow a wry sense of humour to pervade their work. With Inspiration coming from a wide spectrum of artists including: The Smiths, The Beatles, Steely Dan, The Kinks, REM, Bowie, Julian Cope, Sting, The Cure and Gil Scott Heron, to name a few.

Their songs are narratives that express their hopes, frustrations, questions and desires about the past, the present, and the future. 
With ideas often coming from their local patch, or from places they’ve lived, in and around London. Brazil, a country Brian lived in for a few years, has also left its mark on some, as yet unrecorded songs, 

The duo has worked with Richard’s brother Paul, who played on early releases. James Morgan should also be mentioned for his superb drum work. Futures plans will definitely include collaborations with more musicians.
