Seit mehr als zwei Dekaden steht Joachim Spieth bereits hinter dem DJ-Pult und lotet dabei die Grenzen zwischen House, Techno und Ambient aus. Von den Anfängen bei den Kölnern um Kompakt und den Voigt-Brüdern, Veröffentlichungen über Onitor und Paso bis hin zu gespielten Shows in über 30 Ländern hat der Stuttgarter schon genug erlebt, um allmählich als Szene-Urgesteine zu gelten. Noch immer aber scheint er dem Musikmachen nicht überdrüssig zu sein und sucht weiterhin nach neuen Ausdrucksformen, so unter anderem mit seiner LP 'Tides', die nun auch auf Vinyl erschienen ist. Spieth als ersten Beitrag zu unserer neuen Ambient-Serie 'Until The Quiet Comes' zu bringen, lag demnach nah.

We were supposed to welcome this great Colombian DJ and producer during her Europe tour, at our event 'Art Bei Ton meets Oslated' (21.03.20), but due to the cover-19 restrictions, you'll find her with us during her next tour in a few months.

This Dark/Hypnotic Techno set is an extract from her recorded from Razzmatazz in Barcelona.

Born in Bogota, Colombia, Aleja Sanchez has been active in the techno scene since 2007. A mental and deep but forceful sound combined with a natural penchant for experimental and diverse soundscapes with raw lines have laid the foundations for her to develop a highly unique musical voice into the International techno circuit. Currently, Aleja Sanchez is consider “one of the Colombian scene's biggest international exports” Resident Advisor, 2019.

As producer, Aleja Sanchez is the label head of Northallsen records and contributor to Affin, Attic Music, Planet Rhythm, Illegal Alien among others. With an experimental hypnotic and fused techno and a gentle and melancholic ambient current she reveals her stylized and unique sound.

Deepness, quality and versatility are characteristics of Aleja Sanchez who always strives to create a unique dialogue between the environment, techno and experimental electronics, carefully curated and skillfully organized in a unique and sonorous landscape both in the studio and behind the decks

MOTTO Podcast is a podcast series by me, Miia Magia and hereby I am happy to serve you the 20th episode! All my tracks are handpicked in Helsinki and the mix is like always including a lot of new Scandinavian music together with a few classics from all around the world. 
The first hour is selected by me, starting with deeper house and continuing towards upbeat techno. My mix is also including a premier for my own track ”In the Club”, which is one of the tracks from my first ever release to be out on Friday the 15th of May on my label Motto Sono Records. The track is dedicated to all my DJ sisters. Big thank you also for my partner in crime Mr. Barth for making a remix plus virtual high fives all the way to New York based DJ & MC G-Tech for completing my vision. 

For the second hour we recieved a mix from Stockholm DJ and production veteran Abi Bah that has selected his favourite deep tracks from local friends and his own productions plus 2 tracks from the first 2 Motto Sono releases. Abi has been active in the Global and Sthlm techno scene since the 90's with countless music, label and event productions like Riotplan Records, Hybrid Productions, Kozmick Gurt Brothers and Street Life Rhythm. His never ending good energy and tribal touch can be heard in all his productions ranging from Techno, House and Electro to more undefinable experimental sounds and even some Hip-Hop tunes.
