His aura glows in a blazing voyage, recognizing the weight of growing up around a melting pot of influences, but nowadays, we desire it has reached its destination.

Today, coinciding with International Women's Day, we call to celebrate it with this wonder episode, but not just in a generalized vindication for a gender. But with the matter in any combination and result.

Driven by a love of the techno scene, but especially after discovering the Fuse, an iconic Belgian club, Carmelo Ponente slowly but surely fell in love with textures, distortions and raw sounds. After a long period of hesitation, he decided to bring his passion to life, creating tracks that are released today on labels such as Format Records, Postdynamic Records, Subsists Records, Modern Minimal, TMM Recordings, Bahn Records, Newrhythmic Records, … And supported by artists such as Tommy Four Seven, Lewis Fautzi, Zadig, Lakej, Casual Treatment, Adriana Lopez, Dave Clarke and many others.

His desire to return to the decks was becoming stronger and stronger. In 2023, it was time for him to return to this passion, which also allows him to express his love of the scene. He produced podcasts for TMM Recordings & Dwarf Planet Series and shared the decks with Linear System, Eric Fetcher & more.

2024 is shaping up to be just as exciting, because after playing in Lille alongside Linear System, Falling Echoes, Yrsen & Subtil, several podcasts have already been made for Atomar & Techno Cartel and others are planned for the course of the year, including this one!

Starting up our mix series we have the man that started it all for Infra: Jose Zamora, also known as Xoce. This mix, which was recorded during his opening set for Oscar Mulero on May 23rd, is an amalgamation of the gritty, dark, although urban, rhythmic and forward frequencies that characterize Jose’s sound, all perfectly blended to achieve a boiling point of pure techno. I tend to overstuff my tracks, no difference with this one. Always been doing this. If things fit over one another musically, I put them on top of one another. But this is very often a mistake. Here, I am very unsure if it is wise to put the robot chorus on top of the house chords. Right now, I am considering dropping the vocoder vocals altogether and replacing them with some female vocals; some soft voice that creates a contra to the techno sound.
