Following hot on the heels of ‘Calling (Lose My Mind)’, the collaboration between label owner Sebastian Ingrosso and his protégé Alesso, Refune are welcoming another rising star of the house world to the label with the release of ‘Bong’ by Deniz Koyu. 

German producer Deniz Koyu had a stellar 2011, emerging as one of the forerunners in emerging house talent with his unique blend of tech and progressive house. The release of singles ‘Tung’ and ‘Hertz’ on Fedde Le Grand’s Flamingo Records as well as remixes for artists such as James Blunt and Kaskade quickly became anthems across clubs and festivals around the globe, marking him out as one to watch. As well as being picked by MTV for their 2012 ‘EDM Rookies To Watch’ list, his tracks have already been on heavy rotation with the likes of Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto and Avicii.

Koyu is now joining Ingrosso’s burgeoning Refune roster with ferocious big room house anthem ‘Bong’, which has already been picking up support from David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Fedde Le Grand, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso himself. Vitalized by its energetic drum line and evolving percussion, the sweeping pads, infectious lead synth line and sweeping crescendos undoubtedly prime this straight up house record to cause hysteria across the summer.

Having enjoyed an outstanding year, Alesso certainly isn’t resting on his laurels as it starts to draw to a close. Having kicked off 2013 with Russian duo Hard Rock Sofa’s remix of the anthemic ‘Years’ by Alesso, Refune’s first brand new music of the year comes courtesy of Deniz Koyu who is returning to Sebastian Ingrosso’s label with the follow-up to last year’s festival favourite ‘Bong’. 

Anticipation for new single ‘Rage’ has been building since last year, with Swedish House Mafia supporting the track during their ‘One Last Tour’ performances, and is destined to be another future anthem from Koyu. Bringing his trademark energy and precision in abundance, ‘Rage’ is a dynamic peak time production. True to its name, a feverish build up unfurls in a burst of pounding drums and heavyweight synth riffs, which spiral upwards through the track to keep energy levels high throughout.

2012 was Koyu’s biggest year yet as he has continues to rise through the ranks of dance music on a wave of high quality releases and high-energy performances.
