Sachi Kobayashi is an extremely talented Japanese ambient music producer & singer based in Tokyo. After hearing the release of their brilliant EP's Moon and Sea, Air Dance and debut album More Than Just A Dream we knew we had to invite them to be a part of the series.

Sachi has provided a beautiful addition to the series with one hour of dreamy ambient to get lost to.

The last Introspective Electronics chapter of 2021 is a truly special one for us. It doesn’t often happen an artist makes a truly deep mark in such a short amount of time. We discovered the work of Inhmost earlier this year through his incredible album ‘The Meaning Of…’ out on the powerful Bern outlet re:st and never looked back. Due to a string of fortunate circumstances, we had a chance to become a sort of online pen palls and started weaving a friendship together which was leading the way to the release of this incredible mix you are listening to now ✨🌚🌝✨

Inhmost is an ambient project of UK-based Simon Huxtable who made a significant impression on the late 90s downtempo-infused D’n’B scene as Aural Imbalance. Apart from his LP out on re:st, he has released on Oslated’s dub ambient sub-label Huinali, Toronto-based Stasis Records and has collaborated with Auxiliary’s boss ASC on two long-players released on the label this year  ✨

This chapter of our Podcast Series is a tour de force of gently drizzling emotions that patiently and tenderly unfold from the meddle of rich soundscapes made up of the elements - ether, water, earth and fire. Each track is flowing seamlessly into the next on this journey that oscillates in time with the circle of breath. One wonders what might happen if we close our eyes and let all the impressions turn into feelings, let them roam free. One wonders…

Reflexions Podcast 35 - Dschen

Our second podcast of the year brings a special edition.   

Today we’re honouring the work of Chitra Records by publishing a podcast composed exclusively of their releases.   

Chitra is an American record label based in Oxford Mississippi and run by Dionis Afonichev (Dionisaf). Their sound focuses on "surreal music for deep listening". 

Dionis is a lovely and passionate person who works hard to put forward the sound of contemporary ambient music. We highly recommend you check out their work!   

Their otherworldly drones, soundscapes and deep listening practice, fit perfectly with our Reflexions aesthetics.

Conscious Listening Mix Series - 29 - Clarence Rise

For our twenty-first instalment we've invited Clarence Rise, a French deep techno producer and DJ.

His compositions combine complex rhythmics with organic sound design, diving listeners in hypnotic, immersive soundscapes. He creates textured, crackling, sometimes syncopated techno, while also exploring the depths of Deep DnB and Tribal sounds. 

His work is a constant quest for raw emotion and subtle intensity, offering experiences both mysterious and captivating, shaped to resonate as much in clubs as in the intimacy of personal listening

About this particular mix he said the following:
“It was recorded with a focus on the following three axes: rhythm, intensity and emotions. In contrast to the more techno podcasts I record, here I intended to visualize the movement the sound could create on the body that listens to it. A dance sometimes slow, fast, syncopated, with pauses and quick restarts, exploring a rich palette of emotions.”

"An invitation to Relax"

For our fourth podcast we welcome Adhémar. A very talented French artist whose work you'll have heard on Oslated and Aarden records.

Please read his note :) 

"This recording is an invitation to relax  and relieve any tensions. 
You can follow the instructions below. 
Stay in Shavasana for as long as you want - let go !
Lie flat on the back with the arms about 15 cm away from the body, palms facing upward.
A thin pillow or folded cloth may be placed behind the head to prevent discomfort. A rolled up blanket can be placed under the knees, heels still touching the ground, to relieve low back tension. 
Let the fingers curl up slightly.
Move the feet slightly apart to a comfortable position and close the eyes.
The head and spine should be in a straight line.
Make sure the head does not fall to one side or the other.
Relax the whole body and stop all physical movement. 
Become aware of the natural breath and allow it to become rhythmic and relaxed".
