Description: Over a decade ago Mgona township in Lilongwe City (Malawi's Capital) only had three communal taps for the whole township, and no one else had tapped water. During those times, outbreaks like Cholera used to be very common. I recently visited the township to report on what has or not changed.

This story is telling  story of death of a new born of a mother who reported a health-worker who demanded bribes in the maternity ward. This mother who was at time pregnant and in labour pain was being demanded to pay 50 000 Malawi Kwacha ($65) to a clinician at Bwaila district Hospital ( a government hospital) for her to be helped to give birth. When this mother reported to Ant-Corruption Bureau, the next day the woman found out her child’s pipe had been disconnected from oxygen and died.
