Primordial drums.

In the depths of time, the beating of the drum echoes with a primal force, resounding through the ages like a call from beyond. Its origins shrouded in mystery, its purpose unknown, the drum symbolises the primordial power that lies at the heart of our being.
Long before the written word, before the dawn of civilisation itself, the drum was there, its rhythmic pulse marking the passage of time and the ebb and flow of the natural world. Who first gave voice to this ancient sound, and what secrets did it hold? Was it a tool of communication or an instrument of ritual? Did it stir the spirits of the earth or call forth the gods of the sky?
As the ages passed, the drum grew in power and significance, becoming a central feature of cultures and traditions across the globe. Its voice was heard in war, peace, joy, sorrow, celebration, and mourning. From the heart of Africa to the shores of South America, from the steppes of Central Asia to the islands of the Pacific, the drum spoke a language all its own.
And yet, despite its ubiquity, the drum remains an enigma, a symbol of the mysteries of life and the universe. Its sound touches us at a primal level, stirring deep emotions and primal urges. It can transport us beyond the limits of the everyday world into a realm of pure spirit and transcendence.
For those who hear its call, the drum is a portal to the deepest mysteries of existence, a key to unlocking the universe's secrets. Its rhythms pulse with the heartbeat of the cosmos, resonating through our souls and lifting us up to the heights of ecstasy and revelation. The primordial drums continue to beat, their message echoing through time and space, inviting us to join in the dance of life.

Daru - translated from Sanskrit, a tree whose crown grows in paradise,
while its roots touch the very depths of hell, thus personifying the
duality of the existence of everything. So Daru's music harmoniously
reveals its light and dark sides, contains a spectrum from subtle to
coarser vibrations.
Perceiving the plot of magical frequencies: shaman tambourines and
bass parts combined with each other, we seem to see these roots in the
underworld, and, on the contrary, bells-like heavenly trees bloom
their branches on the other side of being...

A journey. That’s how best to describe the story of ace DJ and https://soundcloud.com/vaultwax boss https://soundcloud.com/beyun303. Her bio spans four countries in three different continents, and a family history tying her to even more diverse locales. A true globetrotting citizen of the world, she has taken in influences from a large variety of sources to inform her wide-ranging musical taste. It’s hardly a coincidence she has dropped anchor at the port of Rotterdam, a place which is defined by its diversity and by welcoming travelers from all over the world. 

A journey is also the best way to describe her addition to our podcast series. A truly eclectic mix of genres, moods and moments, we’re taking from energetic breaks and techno thumping, with hints of rave-synths, acid-basslines and plenty of percussion sprinkled in for good measure. And then, just as you think you’ve figured out what Beyun’s all about in this set, she mixes things up. Collapsing Market was founded in 2014 . They first started releasing mixtapes (Andrew Lyster, Sidney & Suleiman among others) before starting releasing records early 2016. First one was Louis with the alias Eszaid in January (€€€ EP), then the Russian producer Buttechno in April  (7 EP), and Norin early october (₦₦₦ EP), who’s Lust for Youth’s frontman and had his debut LP on Posh Isolation in January 2016. We also had two tapes this year, one by a Greek producer Restive Plagonna and most recently Eszaid in December 2016 

Future looks like this:
Next record s a reedition of a work of my grandfather Morteza Hannaneh – who was an Iranian composer and conductor - with the Symphonic Orchestra of Teheran in the late 60’s. It’s a musical work composed for a ghazal of a very famous Iranian poet of the XVIII century, Hatef. The poem deals with the founding principles of Sufism, and the idea of a unique God.   it’s both traditional and orchestral, which blurs the bounds between oriental and occidental references, but it also has some very contemporary soundings, which question a lot the musical links between times.

"I‘d like to think that this mix is a continuation of the last one I did for Solid Steel, albeit 2 years later...and with a different setup. And very different circumstances - I‘m now a Dad and living in Germany. The mix was put down in one take with my trusty Octatrack and I‘m hoping to get the first Fear of Jazz releases out later in the year."
