Yann Aubertot aka Monoblok is a born experimentalist with a solid classical music background and a self taught master in the science of obscure audio manipulation.

Founder and curator of Rodoid netlabel and former organizer of Paysages Électroniques festival, Monoblok has been playing around with electronic textures for the most part of his life and regularly gets involved in challenging musical projects such as the Electro Wind Band. 

Since 2009 he has released a number of critically acclaimed records with fellow musician PSLKTR and has been busy producing hybrid techno with rock influences and an experimental edge.

A call from Turkey and the world to all music enthusiasts!

On February 6, 2023 Turkey and Syria were struck by two massive earthquakes (7,7 - 7,6 on the richter scale) in one day. The severity of the earthquake, the size of the area, the demographic and the large number of people being caught unprepared, combined with the harsh weather conditions, dramatically heightened the effects of this disaster. Since then a lot of local and global efforts have been put together to gather and transfer urgent help to the area, however these efforts are unfortunately inadequate in the face of the size of this catastrophic event. In a bid to help our country and its neighbours, Müstesna Records (TR) have decided to put together a relief compilation in collaboration with Ransom Note on their Dance Music From Planet Earth compilation label (UK).

As of now 48 artists from around the globe have contributed some of their beautiful work. The compilation will be released in two parts with the first part shared on Wednesday 1st March. If we all unite as music listeners, nightlife enthusiasts and all those in between, we will be stronger in size and strength.

Music brings us all together, regardless of our geographic location. We hope that everyone falling under this roof believes in sharing beautiful collective memories, as well as tragedies.

Please help us support the ones who believe that they are part of a global collective family so we can come together on better days…

2015 was an amazing year for Inside Out Records. The philosophy of the label of releasing elite sounding electronic music with a storytelling value is no secret among the international scene these days. For the first release of 2016 the label is introducing one of the most significant up and coming producers in Europe, whose music has been played intensively over the last few years in the most notorious dancefloors; we are talking about Nick Devon. 

The first track on the record is Enceladus. In Greek mythology Enceladus was one of the giants, the off spring of Gaia (Earth) and Uranus (Sky), and was said to be the cause for earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. The fact that the track is named after a giant who claimed war upon the gods is no accident. From the first second the track makes a statement of intimacy. Growling synths, psychedelic strings combined with unworldly haunting textures skilfully sculpt this techno masterpiece. 

Gaussian is to follow. Modulation paranoia of analogue tones accompanied by outer space atmospheres and dramatic keys shape the musical part of this piece. Drums are tight, menacing and always evolving; their nature being so controversial to the dreamy musical parts offers Gaussian its unique character. 

To close the record comes Crescent Moon. Crescent Moon is not a track to enjoy with a glass of wine and dream; it’s a track to dance to until your body wont move, in a dark warehouse. Synths forger their manners and reveal their wild side. They scream, shout and rebel, forcefully demanding of you to join them in their unsafe trip. 

Enceladus is a record of high aesthetic and eccentricity, setting the mood for what to expect from Inside Out Records in 2016.
