 Amazing techno and nothing for weak nerves. Monya starts her own label Corresponding Positions with a belter of an ep. Nothing less then two originals produced by herself plus remixes by Perc and Bas Mooy. While the title track &gt;Steine Im WegVerweht&lt; is more about the atmosphere and depth of sounds. Perc and Bas Mooy both reworked the second track and definitely added a lot of raw power to this piece of vinyl. Its an authentic and varied 4 tracker which will for sure find ist way to plenty of record cases and triggers our curiosity for what Correspondign Positions will come up with in the future. Hong Kong is the home of a new project called Dorian Sensation. The label head known as R_L (@R_L-1) has gone it alone after releases with Subsist Records, Concrete and We Are.

Picking up support already from many top artists like Speedy J, Silent Servant, The Black Dog, Edit Select and Brendon Moeller for example, R_L is on the right track as he pushes an experimental and industrial sound of Techno.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the remix by Singaporean @Xhin, where he converts the originals broken beat into a melting pot of ethereal emotions and twisted soundscapes. There’s a lot of elements to study and get lost in that will appeal to those who like to be swept away on mind adventures and delve that little deeper.

Berlin-based Mancunian Setaoc Mass returns to his own SK_Eleven imprint with now the fourth outing.  Confirming the label’s emergant position as the home of purist, highly-distilled club weapons, ’See Through’ marries a muscle-bound groove to arching synth strings and sci-fi encentricities for a hypnotic juxtaposition, followed closely by ‘Passive’ - another roller to completely loose yourself in.  Flipping over, the producer explores a dystopian wasteland populated by cavernous reverb-drenched claps and a nagging, mutant synth chord, whilst ‘Disrepair’ flaunts Coates’ budding trademark electro strut, with bellowing kicks, crisp snares and futuristic undertones all in check.

Setaoc Mass - Decipher EP  [SK11004]

We are excited to present the first outing of what might soon prove to be one of techno‘s most promising collaborations. While Seatoc Mass' two pristinely crafted EPs have already left their mark on the label, Matrixxman has been turning heads across the scenes with his exceptionally prolific track record.

Drawing upon common thoughts on futuristic themes and their respective strengths as producers from different continents, their joint effort clearly conveys one distinct approach, yet unites the seemingly opposite. Regardless of being no-nonsense dancefloor-weapons, the four tracks still brim with detail, their vibrant elements communicating playfully.

On their shared EP these artists have struck a rare balance. They delicately hover between the spacious and the claustrophobic, the modern and the classic, the stern and the elated – while never losing focus of their mutual mission.

Medium” arrives as the first non-studio based production by emptyset, recorded on location in the remote Woodchester Mansion in Gloucestershire UK. The collection of tracks explores the duo’s preoccupations with the elemental properties of sound and bare rhythmic structures and overlays it onto the textural possibilities
of space and material. The project marks their first act of adapting their analogue
based studio system into an architectural intervention, pushing extreme bass and
feedback into the irregular spaces of the unfinished building. The rural mansion, which remains an incomplete remnant of the gothic revival and a place studied by
both architectural researchers and psychic investigators, provides a rich source of
texture as the sparse palette of sine waves and noise is adorned with the intricate details of the space. Medium emerges as an act of translation remodeling the
house through sonic impulses into a state of audio, a fluid transformative gesture
and a process mirroring the sonar impulses of the bats residing within
Woodchester's rooftop sanctuary.


￼￼The project, supported by the Woodchester Mansion Trust, was provided technical support by the renowned Bristol based sound engineer Mat Sampson who managed the array of vintage microphones and preamps distributed within the building along with the central monophonic sound system.

“Medium” will be released March 19th, 2012 on Subtext Recordings based at Multiverse in Bristol. It follows on from emptyset's second LP Demiurge, Roly Porter's landmark Aftertime album and a live recording by Paul Jebanasam.
