Going from deep & spherical to straight & pounding with a lot of uplifting and acidic twists - here's the full-length record of my extended opening set played with vinyl and digital in the mix at the infamous ://Elements party of @about-blank-berlin.

Based in Copenhagen, the half Danish half South Korean musician Schacke has been producing sounds of a large variety of different styles since their early teens. Starting with a background in Metal, Noise, and Industrial, Schacke has continually shown a determination to expand and evolve their universe through the exploration of electronic music. Since moving to Copenhagen around ten years ago, Schacke has run an underground label for experimental music, co-owned and run the legendary Mayhem venue in Copenhagen, and released music under a variety of different aliases on local and international labels.

As one of the original members of the Fast Forward collective and agency, Schacke has played a significant role in shaping and defining what has become known as the ‘’Copenhagen Techno Sound’’, which they helped pioneer with their first two techno records on the now-defunct Ectotherm label between 2015-2017 started by Mama Snake and Courtesy. Schacke is also a resident DJ and event organizer at the famous queer sex parties by feminist porn production company ‘’Bedside Productions’’.

Schacke has recently used their musical versatility to make soundtracks for anything from porn movies, feature films, and runway shows for major fashion brands and designers in Paris and New York.

Schacke draws inspiration from a wide range of different genres, usually using techno as only a template to explore and make genre bending fusions using a mixture of unlikely sources. With the combination of hard-hitting beats and rolling baselines, usually mixed with catchy leads and euro vocals, their tracks are always bound together with a precise execution of delicately layered textures, making Schacke’s techno distinctly recognizable yet strangely unpredictable. His debut album 'Apocalyptic Decadence' is out now on Instruments Of Discipline.

V/sions was founded in Dresden, Germany, at the beginning of 2016. The musical conception is extensive. Impressed by Industrial and Power Electronics, his love located in the techno of the early 90s, EBM and belgian‘s new beat style. All these musical influences are part of his DJ sets, which he combines with his own touch. Music as a universal language forms its conceptual orientation, for which he always provides surprises and a liveliness in his performances.

EPH DJ, hailing from Amiens and now based in Strasbourg, is a true force to be reckoned with. His journey into the realm of music began during electrifying warehouse parties, where he discovered his profound passion for techno. However, it didn't take long for him to venture into the realms of trance and industrial sounds, crafting a distinctive and impactful style of his own. He is a resident DJ for collectives SOYUZ in Strasbourg and Liquid rekords in Rouen.

Welcome to the 49th Unmasked Discussion.

Beginning V/sion is a vinyl-only DJ project, started in early 2016 in Dresden, Germany. Within three years he formed his own music style, somewhere between EBM, New Beat, Techno, Wave and Industrial anchored. He was particularly influenced by the earlier youth phase when he became aware of bands like Nitzer Ebb and Front 242 at the end of the 90s. But also experimental acts like "Add N To X", "Dissecting Table" and "Trans Am" formed his musical understanding up to the EBM-Clash-Revival around DJ Hell's label Gigolo Records, beginning of the 2000s. All of this musical range is a major area of influence for his DJ work today. A vision of limitless music. Music as an understanding of a universal language. In the fall of 2016, he even won a DJ contest in his hometown. After a few gigs, among others at after-show parties of acts like Operant (Instruments of Discipline) or some radio shows, one may be curious to see the newcomer back behind the podium. Of course only with vinyl - what else does not come to mind for him.
