Execution - the last walk into death chamber and ultimately end of life. What does the per- son feel in the position of no escape from inevitable and what people in the viewing theatre feel? Fear, remorse, redemption, satisfaction or forgiveness?

Confession - the admission of guilt. The closing of a chapter and the relief it brings. 

Torment - pleasure and pain / hunter and prey. Both want the torment to be over but for opposite reasons.

God Bless Your Rotten Soul - despair and contempt felt in the execution viewing theatre. Tension is building up to the point silence before the final tick of the clock.

Deathsman - is he the ultimate serial killer who is simply doing his job? Inspired by the scene of convict shouting to deathsman that he is the real killer here. What if he is indeed?

London based Romek Boyer (AKA Rommek) & Aimée Mullen form the experimental, electronic act; Torn Relics. The body of their work is a mixture of cyber-punk electronics with tribalistic violin, rhythms and tones. Their debut EP, The Poisoned Chalice, was released on Sacred Court in 2019 and included a remix from SNTS. Abolish The Dogma, the duo's debut 8-track album was released in 2020 on Leyla records, which showcases the diversity of their production styles.

'Burning Injustice', the second album by Torn Relics, forthcoming on the Berlin based label Instruments of Discipline, weaves mythical and futuristic elements of an unknown world. Haunting, visceral and diverse in production styles, the duo continues to pave their own musical territory.

This album was written between 2017 - 2021, in which the music produced reflects the decay of the political and social landscape in the UK, from the Brexit divide to covid isolation. This music serves as an antidote in these turbulent times.

Introducing Krista Bourgeois, our latest addition to PRSPCT Recordings: The Future of Hardcore Industrial Techno. Originally from the United States, Krista Bourgeois has found her home in the gritty, pulsating heart of Berlin's underground. Her sound is not for the faint of heart; it's raw, abrasive, and unapologetic.

Armed with a modular synthesizer, Krista crafts soundscapes that degrade into dystopian textures, accompanied by relentless percussion and analog warmth. Her sonic journey is unconventional, blending mechanized industrial design, experimental noise, and breakcore elements into a unique hardcore-infused techno experience.

Be prepared for her debut release on PRSPCT Recordings featuring three relentless tracks:
"Creation Through Destruction" - A 147 BPM pounding whirlwind that takes you on a journey of tension and distortion.

IOD PREMIERE #034 // HYBRAL - THE QUEER TURN

Hybral's new EP "Affirmative Action" is a dystopian industrial techno masterpiece that shows evil in its most beautiful and intense form. Dark, cinematic and frightening sounds lead you on a ghost hunt of rhythmic darkness, drawn full of turning points and unforeseen, surreal events. The EP is the image of a total horror, a bizarre journey through eternal darkness, as if in a black hole that sucks in all light and the whereabouts of matter remain uncertain. You experience a reality in which the contents of your stomach are overturned by your internal organs and all existing laws are reversed. 

The mood of the track, "The Queer Turn", is reminiscent of cold and rough clefts in the mountains, towering rock formations in the shape of shark's teeth towards the gloomy sky. Chainsaw-like cries of rebellion and determined marching of queer communities echo in the valleys and shape the landscape for generations to come.

Born deep in rural Poland, Polanski's music draws inspiration from the organic sounds of nature conveyed in the form of musical language of our digital era. His style is known to be eclectic and indeed his DJ approach is sensitive to particular venues and club nights. Unique as a performer, he always takes his audience on a personal journey - a sonic walk in the forest so to speak. It is the emotional drive more than the musical genres themselves that seals the journey together.  Never bound to one musical style, whether as DJ, remixer or solo producer, Polanski tries to bridge the gap between rhythmic grooves and more experimental styles of dance music.
