Hailing from Traralgon, just a few hours outside of Melbourne, DJ 2GRÜVY4U may only be 17, but he’s already four years deep into producing and mixing. Starting out at house parties, he’s now setting his sights on club systems and bigger crowds, armed with a sound that’s evolved from early tech-house obsessions into something harder, faster, and more refined.
His latest EP “TAKE YA BRAIN” is a clear statement of where he’s headed, 2 tracks with vastly different styles, from hypnotic synths and vocals, to groovy and uplifting piano. Influences like Daria Kolosova, Clouds, and Kyle Starkey shine through, but it’s the individuality of his direction that cuts through.
With a new duo project GRÜVTRANQ alongside james.grxntt now in motion, expect this release to be just the beginning of what’s to come.
