Hello Inter Gritty, could you please give me the name of this very warm track?

When you meet Stojche for the first time and start talking to him, you are quickly impressed by his personality and how he philosophises about electronic music. Like all great ambassadors of music and their craft, there's a genunine warmth and openness which is hard not to like. This openness is also noticeable in his music, the influences of Detroit Techno and Chicago are unmistakable. The ease of mixing and the extraordinary selection of tracks make his sets something special. Over the last decade he has slowly etched his name of Europe's underground circuit, contributing his music to labels like A.r.t.less, DMK, Subwax, Sungate and Infiltrate, to name just a few. Last year he realised and released his first solo album ,,Urban Chaos'' on his own great imprint Tangible Assets, a tribute to his hometown Skopje.

Imagine growing up near Berlin, getting into dance music, going to Berghain for the first time and getting your mind blown by techno. Then, ten years later, you become a resident DJ at the fabled club. Not many people—any people?—can claim this story, but for Fadi Mohem, what would be so many DJs' dreams became a reality. After getting his 2017 debut 12-inch Reckless in the hands of all the right people in Berlin, Mohem established a bold, bouncy techno sound with releases on Modeselektor's Seilscheibenpfeiler, Ben Klock's Klockworks and FJAAK's SPANDAU20, pretty much the cream of the crop of modern techno.

Now, this year, he's becoming one of Berghain's newest residents, alongside other exciting names like Sedef Adasï and Naty Seres (and Lakuti upstairs at Panorama Bar). As heard on his recent collaborative with Ben Klock, Mohem has modern techno down to a science, thanks to a combination of reverence for the old-school and clever rhythmic touches, like the irresistible snare pattern on "Prefix." His RA Podcast sounds like what you might expect from a new generation of Berghain resident: aerodynamic, heavy and, honestly a little midtempo compared to a lot of other young techno DJs. It's the sound the club has made world-famous, with cuts from Reeko, Heiko Laux and Truncate, plus some special moments from aya, DJ Deeon and Petar Dundov. It takes a certain kind of DJ to get to this hallowed place, and Fadi Mohem deserves it.

Born, raised and currently residing in Leipzig, Vincent Neumann works as a psychotherapist during the day and as a dj by night. As one of the residents of Leipzig’s Distillery since 2012, he happily gets to share his passion for dance music regularly with some of his favourite musicians and idols and is grateful for every gig he gets to play. When looking for records, new musical discoveries are as important to him as discovering hidden gems buried deep in tabs of discogs. The vibes during his dj-sets are often described as energetic, fast, enthusiastic and sometimes even relentless, without ever sacrificing taste or quality. As someone that deliberately will never be a full-time DJ, for him, authenticity will always stand above fame, and as such an honest dance behind the decks while playing will also always mean more than a staged event-video. As Oscar Wilde supposedly once said: "Be yourself, everyone else is already taken."

Talismann (@talismannrecords) is the techno alias of the Dutch house artist Makam. Under this name he makes dark, dubby, wormhole techno that is designed for dance floor meditation, and he exclusively serves it up on his own self titled label. The man behind the music stays in the shadows, and while his output is often heavy and doom laden, it is also alluring mysterious and atmospheric in a way that is never too oppressive.

Today we're treated to a special mix filled with up-to-now unreleased tracks from Talismann's forthcoming, multi-part album 'Percussion'. Part 1 lands today on Bandcamp, however, with more to follow later in summer. Hearing all this material together in a mix, as the artist indeed, is a special treat which makes for a perfectly sequenced trip through empty industrial spaces, thronging warehouses and alien planets. It is hugely rhythmic, compelling techno, but is finished with a subtle sense of sound design that makes it as cerebral as it is physical.
