If you were born with electricity and a real punch running through the veins, then you’d know it is impossible to let them just on the inside. You must allow all that flow escape to the outside. That is exactly what has happened and still happens with Fatima Hajji, she was born with those qualities. Every time she gets on stage in front of an audience or locks herself in the recording studio, she transmits it with extreme facility. She possesses a great talent on selecting club music (muscled electronic sounds), good skills in the mix, etc. It is especially remarkable when she is confronting a packed dance floor when the 'magic button light’ goes on leading an innate symbiosis with the crowd. Después de haber producido durante más de 5 años, su sonido a lo largo de su experiencia maduró en este proyecto. 
El álbum debut de The Undertaker's Tapes "On The Last Day "publicado recientemente en un registro independiente etiqueta AREA Z, ha sido avalada por Ancient Methods, QUAL, SPFDJ, Sharplines y muchos más.

Knife presents The Undertaker's Tapes moniker from Leo Hivert a Prague based french born artist. He has built his sound through years of musical practise. From punk bands from his early age, remains the raw and relentless energy of his EBM productions while he develops the cathartic aspect through noise and down tempo industrial. Fascinated by Poe and Blake, he finds his voice in subjects such as death, longing, existentialist and belief questioning through the prism of his own experience and sensitivity. Having produced for now more than 5 years, his sound as throughout his experience matured into this project.
 The Undertaker's Tapes debut album "On The Last Day" recently released on independant record label AREA Z, has been endorsed by Ancient Methods, QUAL, SPFDJ, Sharplines and many more.

Pure has been producing and performing radical electronic music since 1991.
As a DJ he draws on almost 30 years of experience combining dark and broken techno with rough electro, relentless rave, dirty acid, breaks and industrial. He has played everything from tiny squats to mid-sized clubs and warehouse raves.
His live sets merge three decades of electronic dance music with everything slow, heavy and grim – broken post-techno via doom metal, noise and dark ambient.
He has around 40 physical and digital releases and compilation contributions on labels such as aufnahme+wiedergabe, Ophism, Holotone, Monolith, Stirpe999, Editions Mego, Praxis, Staalplaat, Drop Bass Network and countless others.

🗯🗯 How Did Corona change your artist life? 🗯🗯

I can’t say that 2020 is a bad year cause that would be a lie. On the contrary I can say that it helped me explore and extend my musical horizons more, find the time to finish my first EP with my good friend Chronis which will be released hopefully soon-ish, it gave me also time to reorganize my whole digital library and finally and also really important, gave me a lot of time for vacation which I couldn’t have had otherwise. So I really can’t say I was bored during this period. The only boring thing for me was hearing my friends saying that they were bored.

🗯🗯 Where did you record the mix and how did you feel? 🗯🗯

Now as about this podcast, I’m really honored I had the chance to participate in it. I recorded it at home and I tried to implement my feelings into it and certainly everything that I love to play. I created a relatively low-speed deep trip that doesn’t exceed the 122 BPM. So basically music to have sex to... When I came to Berlin for the first time, I realized that DJs were obsessed with speed. Both of them. But especially in music. I just couldn't follow or dance to music that was played so fast and I was kinda bored in the beginning until I found out about parties and artists that played similar music to mine. This is the reason why I decided to kick the drums a bit slower this time.

🗯🗯 What are your wishes for the time after Corona? 🗯🗯

As about the future, that’s really uncertain. I’m a control freak that likes to organize everything in detail and in the beginning of the pandemic it seemed weird to me that it was out of my power to make plans for the future but I realized that nobody can do that so now I’m laidback and I just focus on my music which gives me happiness. I just wish that everything will get back to normal, or as some call it ‘’the new normal’’, really soon.

Bill Sanders presents United We Rise Podcast Nr. 028

September's podcast is made by Berghain resident and one of the most sharp-cutting Berliners out there: Somewhen (@somewhen).

Somewhen is part of Berlin’s new techno generation, which continues to elaborate on the genres’ principal topics by adapting their meanings to a post-modern context. Futurism and nostalgia – two traditional techno themes purposely coming together within the very name of the producer, DJ and label owner: Somewhen describes this uncertain time in the vague future (whenever) as well as the confidence that eventually (sometime) one’s own dreams can be achieved.

In 2014, Somewhen not only impressed with the track “Kobalt” featured on his debut EP 9 – his second release (99 EP) on his own label SANA presented a conceptual artist of strong character driven by a sophisticated musical language. It’s not only about the quest to find ornamental or complex melodies that create the distinctive soul of Somewhen’s sound but also about the path he’s been taking thus far.

Berlin-born in the mid-80’s, Somewhen initially trained on drums and piano and experimented with hip-hop instrumentals later on. Long before his first record release, he explored the energising potential between beat, groove and melody. Influenced by bands like Depeche Mode and Massive Attack as well as the ubiquitous club culture of Berlin, Somewhen’s sound shifted more decidedly into electronic terrain, especially after training as a sound engineer. From hypnotic repetition to the subtle wealth of detail to his passion for atmospheric soundscapes: Somewhen’s current techno design derives from different sources that all share one common vision through which he’s deliberately positioning himself against one-dimensionality. With his versatile DJ sets, such as his Berghain [@berghain] debut in October 2014, or as a producer (Null EP, Unterton 2016; AFL, Ostgut Ton [@ostgutton-official], 2018), Somewhen has shown that breaking from your own routine can be both: journey and destination at once.
