Raised in Berlin, the city’s musical landscape grabbed hold of him from a very young age. This ripened into a fully grown love for Techno and electronic music and led to him beginning to make music himself. But as a lot of people know, in this concrete sea it can be difficult to get your head above water. This was no deterrent for Frederic. however, it was more of a motivation. The solution was the foundation of what would be known as [Selected]. The party series at the now defunct Arena Club would grow from simply being a stage for a group of friends, wanting to cut their teeth on the wheels of steel, to a household name known for a specific type of groovy, old-school sound that Berlin’s Ravers were clearly thirsting for. 
And nothing stood more for this sound than the closing sets that saw Frederic. share the Decks with his friend and labelmate Gutter.
This friendship would grow into what is now known as the collab project TRQ-30, where Frederic and Gutter create the sort of sound together that they developed. Over their steadily growing back-catalogue, punching kickdrums & bouncing 909-hihats meet the sort of soaring pads & chords that would make a Detroit native jump with joy. Pair all that with occasional nods to 90s Acid and you arrive again at concluding their sound in one word : mature. More than a lot of today’s Techno is.
With the growing name of [Selected] the logical next step was to turn it from being only a party series into a label project.Providing, once again, a platform for young, upcoming and incredibly talented artists. Be it old friends, or new accomplices, the label shows a growing roster and a hunger to bring the next generation of techno into the scene.

'DJ HENTAI' is a rising and beloved DJ within the Berlin underground techno and trance scene. 

As a co-founder of two collectives, 'Loverdose' and 'Frame', he is profoundly passionate about various forms of art and genres. 

Since his debut, four years ago, he has branched out of his hard techno and trance core and smoothly mixes house and breakbeat as well. 
Regardless of genre, 'DJ HENTAI' never fails to deliver and creates an unbelievably magical and fiery atmosphere on the dance floor.

We have relaunched. Coming through with an immaculate podcast to usher in March. We're back with one of the most promising talents rising from a new generation of Berlin-bred artists: Luca Eck (@iamlucaeck).

Being classically trained since his early childhood, he started writing and producing electronic pop music at the age of 11, later transitioning into techno in 2017. He now aims to create a blend between the emotional appeal of popular music and the dark sounds of industrial techno, that already brought him behind the decks of Berlin's renowned Griessmuehle (now @revier_suedost), various international venues, live on ARTE Concert's (@arte-radio-1) United We Stream (@unitedwestream) programme, Rinse France (@rinse_france) and infamous Digital Club HÖR (@hoerberlin). His music quickly gained recognition from established artists such as Amelie Lens (@amelielens) - who featured him in her highly acclaimed "Track ID" Playlist on Spotify.

After a series of single releases, including his track "Walking The Edge" (currently sitting at over 400.000 Streams on Spotify), Luca Eck is entering 2022 on a wave of momentum that doesn't look set to fall away anytime soon. Luca will soon release his Debut EP in collaboration with Berghain (@berghain) regular Nur Jaber (@nurjaberbeirut). Apart from that, he has also produced EPs for rap and pop artists like Tightill and benzii (Sony Music, Kontor New Media, Motor Entertainment).

Impulse is a DJ and producer who was shaped by the many underground Techno events in and around Amsterdam. Impulse values variety and the many different styles and sounds Techno has to offer. He is always on the lookout for new, stimulating and trippy tunes to incorporate into his sets. Every track he selects needs to have interesting sound design or a unique rhythm to it. Impulse’s love for Techno started at the young age of 15 and he has since honed his skills, playing at venues like RADION, Bret, Noordwaards and Paradiso for events like ANTIDOTE, Vault Sessions and Intercell. Other than that Impulse produces as well, spending many hours creating the sound he loves. His music is supported by artists like D.Dan, Lea Occhi, AMORAL, Lyric, future.666 and more. For this podcast he focussed on keeping it raw, tribal and intense throughout the 3 decks mix.
