Intercell October Series | Perc Trax 2020

This native Italian & Berlin based duo needs no introduction. Mind Against started in 2011 and barely 3 years later they are on the crown jewels of the Life and Death label after showing their incredible studio skill. In 2012 and 2013 they also composed several remixes for, amongst others, WhoMadeWho, Art Department, Róisín Murphy, Green Velvet on labels such as Kompakt, Cocoon Recordings, and Vakant.

Mind Against’ sound is very difficult to describe, but we dare to say that the mixture between house and techno appears to sound very deep, trippy and provocative. When they play it’s a sure thing that one can lose themselves in the music and travel to distant universes while dancing.

This is the first hour of the Phantom Sun set on the Chill Stage @ Rainbow Serpent Festival at 10:30pm on the 27th of January 2012. We had some technical difficulties (i.e. changing over CDJ's etc)...so the recording was a little glitchy. But the first hour was ok so I've just edited out the rest for now...

Falhaber is a young producer and DJ based in The Hague, Holland. He is inspired by many different genres which can be heard in his releases and throughout his sets.

His sets include interesting build ups and overwhelming breakdowns composed with Ambient, Electro, Breakbeat, Techno, Acid, Industrial, Rave, Early Trance & Hardcore. All these elements are perfectly brought together to take over the dancefloor and get the audience going until the sun rises and beyond.

Manchester-based producer Walton has countless accolades to his name.
His releases on Ilian Tape, Hyperdub, Kaizen over the last decade are richly varied, with his defining features somewhat elusive. His consistency in delivering raucous music, however, is indisputable. 

Listen back to this set recording from his appearance at our last Ilian Tape takeover to understand why, sometimes, one guise is just never enough.

Acierate. [ˈæsɪəˌreɪt]. Verb (transitive). To convert (iron) into steel. That is at least what the Oxford English Dictionary might tell you if you searched for the meaning of this word. 
If you’d ask any raver from European Techno hotspots nowadays, like Berlin, Paris, Tbilisi or Barcelona, who haven’t been hiding under rocks for the past few years, they might give you a different definition. 

They might tell you a story. A story about a DJ they can’t forget. A DJ who provided them with sonic experiences in a class of their own. Drivy, aggressive synth leads, encased by hammering industrial tunes. Music, so energetic, so undeniably going forward that it almost hurts not dancing to it. Because that’s what Berlin born and bred Acierate is serving his audiences. 

The founder of SYNOID and resident of Berlin’s infamous Griessmuehle has an indisputable reputation for unapologetic DJ sets driven by an unquenchable thirst for rave. Not in the sense of bluntly sequencing matching records, but in building up musical narrations. Telling stories not with words but with synth lines, high hats, snares, and a hell of a lot of bass drum. Converting sonic energy into physical movement

Tham is an up-and-coming artist from Berlin, where he’s also one half behind the infamous SYNOID series and resident at Griessmuehle.

As he discovered his love for electronic music on the city’s dancefloors, his style of DJing is all about the dancefloor: creating an energetic flow using industrial tunes and aggressive synth sounds.

The same goes for his productions, which made him part of the rising techno label “Lebendig”.

Hailing from Germany, today we are joined by Non Reversible. His sets have a constant deep and driving mood to it, with organic textures and fluctuating between hypnotic rhythms, dark mind-blowing emotions together with hard-hitting Industrial sounds.

Having recently debuted on A R T S, his discography has grown as part of the EarToGround family and he has also released on labels like Bipolar Disorder, Affekt Recordings and others. In 2019 he started his own Imprint Non Reversible Structures, to push forward his vision and signature sound.

Expect nothing less than powerful, unapologetic Techno in tonight's HEX Transmission.
