Every year I am amazed by the energy and openness of the cosmic community towards music in all its forms. Being able to play music from the heart in such a setting isn't common and usual. Thanks for staying, listening, dancing and giving me unforgettable memories during the two hours on Sunday evening. "A Wrinkle In Time" is a series of curated guest mixes inspired by John Peels habit to accidentally play records at the incorrect number of rpm. Though it never failed to annoy and embarrass him, one of the tribute compilations released after his death was given the title "Right Time, Wrong Speed". Nowadays Wrongspeeders are a popular and fun tool for most DJs. "A Wrinkle In Time" is not about playing 45s on 33 or the other way round though, but it has one important rule, its only rule: Don’t get too close to the original playing speed of the record, the area between +4 and -4 on the pitch scale of the turntable is a forbidden zone.

This mix is a deep dive into the legacy of a record collector that generously passed a crate of one-of-a-kind gems to @skism and me. We know who she is, but she decided to remain anonymous. In return we promised to make a mix and the project became a fascinating journey into the past of a music lover with a sweet spot for forgotten folkloristic music from remote places around the globe. On the other side of the spectrum we discovered a lot of krautish ambient excursions, some classical music and some very inspiring Jazz records. Known and unknown stuff. Old and contemporary. We tried our best to a create mix which pays tribute to all these influences and failed a couple of times before we finally came to a result: 
A trippy ride from Asia to the western hemispheres and back.

Here's a mix of german only tracks by my friend Gero. Connected through the love for obscure german fleamarket finds we have been exchanging oddities for a couple of years now. Gero is a gentlemen enjoying his finds in silence and it was hard work getting him to record a mix. Funnily he seems to have enjoyed it a lot and promised a sequel already (which might be coming soon as I have missed to post this here mix for months - mit der Bitte um Vergebung!) .
