"This album was crafted around the concept of attempting to reconcile all of my musical inspirations into one album while still remaining cohesive. The result is my favorite album I’ve made. Mostly everything was done in intervals between work—picking up and leaving off at inconvenient times—but I think this made me approach each track slightly differently each time I’d sit down to write. This is an album full of references, big and small, to the music I love and the sounds I love to hear."

*1 ARTHROPODS： Arthropods is the alienation form of GOLEM*, and there is a soul in each metamere. They can upload, download, and link to each other.

*2 GOLEM：A golem is mythical humanlike figure made from clay and magically able to move on its own. In the Bible, Golem is an unfinished human being, without a soul. Through the process of its own evolution and its makers' experiments, a Golem can contain or generate its own soul. It can appear in different interconnected forms and reproduce itself at will. A golem with a soul, in order to speed up its own evolution, will sometimes supersede or devour the original form of life. The album Golem is inspired from this source.

The intent is both to raise funds and awareness to the ongoing situation in the Wet’suwet’en Nation and Unist'ot'en Camp. 100% of proceeds raised from the compilation will go to the Unist’ot’en Legal Fund.

Entering the new decade, we have witnessed many virtual beings creating new realities: for instance, Hatsune Miku, a virtual being, will appear on Coachella 2020, there are projects that use AI to resurrect the dead such as 2pac, and there is a brand new chapter of the Matrix saga on the way. Because of the mass consumption and production of our highly computerized and automated society, imperfections such as the moderate randomness and gaps created by analogs seem ironically fresh. An "Aesthetic of Imperfections”, if you will, that the “Qunatization” compilation aims to express to our quantized society.
