The history of the DJ & producer duo and couple Local Suicide stretches back over a decade to the year 2009. Since meeting, Munich-born Brax Moody and Thessaloniki native Vamparela have collaborated together on various projects, all culminating in the conception of Local Suicide in Berlin. Local Suicide’s distinctive sound, is an energetic fusion of new wave, slow techno, post disco and acid house that they themselves have given the name technodisco, while Beatport declared them as one of the key figures in the uprising dark disco scene.
Their DJ career has carried them to all four corners of the world, whipping crowds into a frenzy at Lollapalooza, Melt!, ADE, Off Sonar, Festival Forte, Berlin Festival and almost every club the German capital has to offer. Their live cuts have been honed to perfection with years of shows alongside the very best in the scene, even being invited by New Order to warm up for their live performance. This hectic schedule has taken them across Europe, Asia, North Africa, South America and the United States. As the faces behind some of the most prolific parties Berlin has to offer, these two were the driving forces of the infamous T.O.F.U (Too Old For Understatement) parties, which are just one of the many marks that they have left on the Berlin underground scene.

In 2017 nøvae stood for the first time behind a small DJ booth in a bar in Lübeck. From this point, her enthusiasm was sparked to play electronic music by herself.  Since 2020 she is part of the Brotfabrik Crew and since 2022 part of the Seven Sins kinky party series in Berlin. She has already taken part in festivals like Tarmac or Nation of Gondwana and has played in Clubs like KitKat, Mensch Meier or Elipamanoke.

She’s known for not being easily pigeonholed when it comes to music - Her music is flowing between Indiedance and melodic techno, taking her audience on a driving journey while turning the night into day.

Very honored to introduce our next guest to you for our guest mix 014: ROTCIV. 

Almost impossible to not cross his path in Berlin as he has been serving outstanding sets from Berghain's Panorama Bar, Lab.oratory, Säule and Kantine to Cocktail D' Amore, Renate, Else, About Blank, Pornceptual, Kater, Buttons, Sisyphos, Schwuz, Ipse and many more while also travelling between Brazil and Europe with his dynamic and carefully selected sound. Contemporaneous he is releasing original tracks, edits and remixes on labels like: Luv Shack, Permanent Vacation, Ombra International, Funnuvojere, Freeride Millenium, Full Pupp, Polari Records, Unterton (Ostgut Ton), Live At Robert Johnson, Gop Tun and his own label of course: Mister Mistery.

Victor started DJing in 1996, playing in most clubs and raves from the mid 90's to 2010 in his native country Brazil, contributing and spreading the electronic music culture locally in a time where access to music, records and information were very scarce. 

He then started producing and releasing music for different labels under the name ROTCIV in 2005 and in 2008 Mister Mistery was born, a label focused on Acid, Disco, House, Electro and Edits with classic influences from 80s and 90s with a truly contemporary edge and unique sound.

In BW014 you're going on a wild 2h-journey around the globe from 110 to 130 BPM with heavy loads of Synth-pop, Dark Disco, Electro, Techno, New Wave, Acid, House, Trance and Prog from the early 90s, Disco rarities and obscurities including a bunch of vinyl from the last 3 decades, as well as some brand new stuff, promos and some edits - fasten your seatbelts!
