Creativity pours freely from every ounce of Gary “Moses Mo” Moore. Whether he’s igniting scorching hot riffs from his appropriately red guitar with Mother’s Finest, working in the studio producing his own unique brand of rock or sharing the international stage with his fellow musicians from “Carl Carlton and the Songdogs”, 

Mo (as he is affectionately known by both friends and fans) quite simply creates. With roots in Dayton, Ohio, Mo followed his parents lead. His Dad played professionally for a while in a Kentucky bluegrass band and his Mom for family gatherings. His defining moment came when he was asked by Joyce “Baby Jean” Kennedy and Glenn “Doc” Murdock to go to Miami. “At the time of my high school graduation,” Moore said, “there were only two choices for me: go work in one of the many factories located in the area or play in a band. I chose (to) play in a band.”

 It was in the clubs of Atlanta, GA in the early seventies, that he and his fellow band mates honed a sound that not doubt was instrumental in renaming the city “Hotlanta”. He worked with the band Illusion featuring Jay Willard, Paul McCoy, Tom Reed, Barry “B.B. Queen” Borden (another former Mother’s alumni), and Bobby Chouinard. 

In 2002 Moses Mo released his first solo effort entitled “Cartoon You”. With the exception of ‘Highway Child’ and ‘Nowhere’, he wrote and recorded the songs on the CD within a six month time frame. According to Mo, “What I bring to the stage or studio is the RHYTHM; it's the only thing that matters to me. It has always been about the rhythm”. 

It’s quite obvious that Moore is equally at home on the spot lit stages of the world or behind the scenes in the studios, on his own or blending with the bands in which he plays, writing songs or building cars: a down-to-earth guy with a stellar ability to do one thing well…

NEW EP - En-Trance-D

Trance or achieving a Trance-like state is a spiritual experience. It can take to an experience of reality that is beyond normal every day thinking. Nature has designed us well, we are beings of light as much as the stars in the heavens, we are made in the image of the divine cosmic universe to which we are linked. Trance can take us back home, back to the stars, while still being on the Earth. All we need is the music, let your body and mind go and let the music take you home. 

 SINGLE - HERE I STAND-

The "Here I Stand" single is an expression of the deepest aspects of myself. The raw places in my soul that I have travelled to over the last years of my life. The places I felt I needed to let go and the places I needed to stand firm and resist the temptation to capitulate to a way of being that didn't honour my true self. The Goddess Ishtar journeyed to hell and back to save her lover and in the process she had to shed seven veils or layers of her personality (hence the dance of the seven veils) Its not really about being physically naked, thats easy, but getting emotionally naked.

The moment I heard the opening few bars of Gary Numan’s “Are Friends Electric” my life changed. It was like a doorway opened into a new reality for me. An alien landscape that I felt oddly at home in. Music featured strongly in my childhood growing up as the younger brother of one of the founding fathers of punk rock in Australia. I began my musical life with intensity and have never really looked back. But from that moment back in 1979 synthesisers and electronic music have been an integral part of my musical expression. Along the way I have played in a couple of synth bands, studied classical piano, cello and recorder including a stint in the local symphony orchestra. Far and away the most creative thing I have done in my life is to become a parent. Its the agony and ecstasy of this that has I believe led to “In This Mode”. At any one time I operate in a different mode or role all of which are aspects of who I am but none of them completely defining me and so all the while I am a parent living through the roller-coaster ride of emotions that can involve another part of me is creating musical ideas.

Musical influences are probably to numerous to mention but heres some of it, some of the giants  of electronic music, Gary Numan, John Foxx, Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Ultravox, Visage, Human League, Tangerine Dream leading into The Shaman, The KLF, Front 242,  Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins,  Sisters of Mercy, Orbital, Dead Can Dance and more recently Assemblage 23, VNV nation, and Royksopp just to name a few. Along the way lots of classical music found its way in there and a bit of Jazz as well. The list really is to long to list so I won’t but my thanks to any one who has ever provided musical inspiration. In This Mode is a reincarnation of a once dormant aspect of my  creative self using synthesisers and technology to create electronic dance, synth pop, downtempo and ambient music to put into form what has been formless for sometime.

I grew up around music. My father was a musician and recorded in the studio locally as well as on stage at bars, weddings and some of his bands had shirts they sold. Sadly, he did not pursue fame and fortune. But I love to sing and was once signed to a local record label here back in 2002. PR fell through and I lost my management due to domestic situations and left to San Antonio to make it on my own in 2003. I have had several editors choice awards and have written a book, which at this time is not published but will be. Without the proper management I lost everything. Now I love to share other artists via networking online because their trying gives me hope that I might be able to do something more than just be an assistant for a training director.

A woman in hip hop is always a rare specimen. But Raven has no need to imitate the boys. She does, raps and produces her own thing: electronic trance rap.

A full time, freelance children's book illustrator, introduced to Magix music making software in January 2014.  Haven't been near music production since school about a hundred years ago.  Can't play a note, and sing like a drain unblocking - Hence any music I may eventually have the nerve to upload is all created using midi/vst instruments playing compositions created in the piano roll editor.   The Magix forum dedicated to music production is the only place to suffer my creations so far.  Didn't realise it could be so much fun though.  Woohoo.
