PREMIERE : Cylindric - Under Carob Tree

A collection of tracks inspired by my experiences in Cyprus. Hazy afternoons in the shade of a carob tree with tzitzikes chirping all around. Long nights with the thrum of the sound system echoing through the trees. Underground gatherings across the island hearing the psychedelic music, and the crowd drawn by it. With this EP, I explore the soundscapes and experiences that inspired me. Ultimately striving to create music that will make sense in a Lotus Parable gathering – indeed these tracks have been tested on forest dancefloors before making it to release. An attempt to capture the earthy atmosphere and ceaseless ritualistic groove.

Cylindric is the sonic art project of Matt Pinker. With a background in experimental composition, he aims to explore these ideas through the lens of techno. Growing up in Manchester formed an appreciation of environmental aesthetics, from industrial landscapes to natural Pennine scenery. This was crystallised through years of musical training and later in Northern clubs and warehouses. After living in his partner’s home of Cyprus he was impacted by the organic landscape and psychedelic music scene there. He is currently creating new music exploring the continuum of hypnotic and psychedelic techno with drone and deep atmospheres at its core.

Fripon – avatar sonore du trickster, cet esprit joueur et insaisissable qui traverse les mythes et les mondes. À la fois passeur et perturbateur, il défie les frontières, bouscule les certitudes et ouvre des brèches vers l’inconnu. 

Sa palette sonore deep & trippy dépeint une cartographie du voyage intérieur, un labyrinthe d'ambiances et de textures mouvantes où chaque détour révèle une nouvelle facette du réel. Entre ombre et lumière, chaos et harmonie, Fripon DVN oscille entre paysages hypnotiques et narratifs, invitant à l’abandon et à l’exploration.

Perturbateur bienveillant, il bouscule à dessein le chemin de l’écoute, déroutant les repères pour mieux révéler l’inattendu. Joueur d’équilibres fragiles, il ouvre la porte d’un jardin et l’instant d’après celle de la voûte céleste. Il tisse des rythmes comme des mirages, entre pulsion et contemplation, Fripon DVN compose une alchimie sonore qui efface la frontière entre le réel et l’imaginaire, guidant ceux qui l’écoutent vers des horizons intérieurs insoupçonnés.
