Known as one of Anjunabeats most polished performers, Berlin based James 'Jimbo' Cayzer, aka Jaytech, continues to evolve his sound for the modern dancefloor with his latest double a side offering. 

With a big-room bullishness and ear-grabbing electro swagger, "Megastructure" is Jaytech at his clubbiest. Dark and downright dirty, it's chock full of cheeky side-swipes and subtle synthetic riffs; all the while driven home with a powerful low end punch.

More reminiscent of the classic Jaytech vibe, "Earthbound's" tireless groove and feverish nu-disco progression are once again weighted perfectly for progressive DJ sets.

The Anjunabeats favourite reworks A Touch of Mercy into a hypnotic progressive gem. His subtle melodic undertones are underpinned elegantly by a cascade of emotion all packed together perfectly by his modern midas touch.

On April 17 Hedonism return with ‘Why Don’t You Say’, a deep vocal cut from their own label head, DJ and producer Simion. Armed with some stellar remixes from Pete Tong favourite Johannes Brecht and Betoko.
 
Kicking off with Simion’s original mix, ‘Why Don’t You Say’ is a deep house bomb bursting with a funky tech bassline, captivating melodies and a soothing vocal line that builds to the harmonious breakdown.  Before the Johannes Brecht and Betoko remixes take Simion’s original into darker territories. 

Marking a triumphant return to his label, Simion’s previous releases on Hedonism include his massive remix of Ben Pearce's 'What I Might Do', and 2014’s U&I. He’s also enjoyed success with a host of releases on other labels including Off Recordings and Suara, where most recently he dropped the acclaimed ‘Give You Love (The Piano)’.

Label owner Darin Epsilon presents his first ever mini-album for the 37th release on Perspectives.  ‘No Regrets’ is an exciting collection of new original tracks, remixes, and collaborations with an all-star cast that includes John Graham aka Quivver, Silinder, Tim Penner, and Alice Rose.

Widely regarded as the most influential and prolific figure of his genre in North America, Darin still manages to raise the bar for himself year after year.  2015 will go down as one of his biggest after a series of chart-topping releases on Sudbeat, Perfecto, and Selador.  Over the summer he signed with the prestigious Nightlaw Agency and even launched an official Beatport Play remix contest.  He had several important tour stops along the way such as Ministry of Sound London, Amsterdam Dance Event, Exchange LA, and South by Southwest in Texas.

Canadian born Tim Penner's decade-long experience working in the electronic music industry has given him his own unique perspective, with a style that blends influences from Techno, House, and Trance.  Genre-defying in its classification, his work has been championed by Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Above & Beyond, and Guy J, among many others.  Recently he’s been turning heads with his outstanding remixes of Max Graham and John 00 Fleming.

The 42nd release on Perspectives Digital sees label boss Darin Epsilon stepping back into the spotlight.  It's been a landmark year for the much loved US artist.  Following the release of his 'No Regrets' LP last November, Darin has been to 8 different countries pushing his unique take on melodic house and techno.  Recent shows at the BPM Festival and Miami WMC, along with tours of Argentina, Colombia, and Ecuador have brought Darin into the spring season with his fans hungry for new music.  Now after a long period of production silence, Darin is back in full force with his much anticipated 4 track EP, as well as upcoming releases on Sudbeat, Global Underground, Parquet Recordings, and Chapter 24.  

The US artist has never been confined to one genre or stylistic blueprint and that proves prevalent once again throughout the entire EP.  The title piece 'Thousand Winds' finds Darin collaborating with world-renowned artist Matan Caspi.  The Israeli producer has been a staple of the electronic underground dating back 10 years with releases on Global Underground, Deeperfect, and Spinnin as highlights of his discography.  His penchant for tough, club-friendly grooves has melded well with Darin's talent for crafting memorable melodies.  Harmonious synth swells and rolling beats provide an intense yet emotive 8 minute journey.  An electric break is one of many highlights, preceding an exhilarating conclusion that's perfectly dialed for peak hour.  

The EP's second selection 'Balaphonia' proved to be one of the most hyped tracks from this year's Miami Music Week and Winter Music Conference.  Initially aired by Nick Warren & Hernan Cattaneo on their infamous 'Never Get Off the Boat Cruise', its foundation of house grooves and vibrant melodies was one of the most memorable moments in their B2B set.  Cascading mallets and xylophone clusters converge before a four note lead lifts you higher and steals the emotional air.  Much sought after as the conference concluded, the track is available just in time for the summer club season ahead.  

Darin continues his borderless approach with the deep and sultry 'Jumeirah'.  Its shuffling groove and dubby tones make for a smooth hypnotic journey.  As vocal loops oscillate with  mesmerizing flair, the bouncy beats and meditative bass become all the more appealing.  With a smooth rush into its second act, the late night rhythms prove irresistible as a charming build delivers yet another magic moment.  

Finally, the summer narrative closes with 'Quintana Roo', named after the Mexican state that is home to Playa Del Carmen and its annual BPM Festival.  Timeless tones, phasing noise, and soulful vocal gates complement the warm groove.  With a seaside appeal, the main break lifts time and space for an exhilarating drift, transporting the listener on an endless coastal plane.  A charming conclusion to a broad and creative collection of music from Darin.

Cosmic Gate know that all good things come in threes… Musketeers, Wise Men, Stooges? All threes… Dimensions? Always cooler with that third one! “3” as the saying goes “is the magic number”! After ‘Falling Back’ & ‘Run Away’, Nic, Bossi & Eric Lumiere this month invoke their own rule-of-three, returning with ‘Edge Of Life’ - their (yep!) third single. 

Back in the spring, ‘am2pm’ scored Tune Of The Week & Future Favourite on ASOT, raced to over 1 million Spotify streams and shot to the #1 slot on Beatport’s trance chart. There it lodged for two straight weeks, receiving substantial DJ & radio support from Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Paul van Dyk, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten and others throughout. 

Now for summer, the lads are set to field their first vocal number of the year… Premiered, by Armin on ASOT771 and supported by Ferry Corsten, XXX and XXX, it’s also been praised by DJ Mag (in their 8.5/10 scoring review) as Eric’s “finest vocal to date”. For it the Californian’s dug deep and through verse & chorus, brings a cryptic reflective to ‘Edge Of Life’s theme, while Cosmic Gate’s production supplies its uplift. 

Shedding light on their new single, Nic Chagall says: “a couple of months back, Eric, Bossi and I were talking about how so many people that we admired, had been lost to the world this year. Bossi pointed out that those guys had also done a lot with their lives and really made their time count. I think that struck a major chord with us all”. 

“A couple of weeks later” Bossi continues, “Eric dropped us a line to tell us he had a new demo he wanted to share. We spotted right away that lyrically it had come about from the conversation we’d had. Nic & I were so charged, we went into the studio the next morning and started writing the music for it. ‘Edge Of Life’ was born out of that session.”

Intricate Records is proud to present a brand new collaboration single produced by PROFF and Louder Dale, entitled «Traverse». It will be released in late May – early June 2013, the single will contain only the original version and no remixes are scheduled yet.

The English title (if translated directly from Latin) means «diametrical» or «transversal», and according to the dictionary of marine terms, traverse stands for the direction which is perpendicular to the ship’s course or its centre diametral plane. A similar type of «intersection» or crossing, but in the musical meaning, is actually happening in this collaboration track. «Traverse» is swinging from one side to another all the time. At some point you start feeling the tension, which is periodically substantiated by the sounds similar to electric discharges and signals of a gaming console, but after literary one minute of time, everything flows to the melodism and slow calmness. «Traverse» was already extensively tested in nightclubs in April, especially at the party together with Ferry Corsten in Murmansk, where hundreds of clubbers were cheerfully applauding and exclaiming to the track. Besides that, «Traverse» will be featured on the label’s debut compilation «Intricate Sessions Volume 01 mixed by PROFF & Vadim Soloviev», which will see the light of day in May 2013.

While listening to «Traverse», you will notice it: «Two producers – two moods». And if it is quite fair to say that we know Vladimir’s musical preferences rather well (PROFF is one of Intricate Records’ co-founders), then Louder Dale’s personality deserves special attention this time. Louder Dale is the new alter ego of Alexey Nefedov, a project which successfully joined the global electronic dance music scene in autumn 2010. During previous career years, Alexey was a member of Rest Point project, which was one of Russian new school trance music leading artists. Nowadays Alexey accumulated all the best achievements and experience of Rest Point and focused on progressive instead of trance, his latest works have been released on prominent labels including Silk Music, Bomba Records and Arrival. His unique style is always recognized because of special rhythms of bass lines and percussions, which he has successfully incorporated into «Traverse». «Progressive gives much more space for the implementation of my creative ideas, – the musician from Orenburg explains. – This sphere does not have limitations, like trance does. Progressive has more priority set on music instead of rhythm, this genre is able to touch a much wider range of your emotions and force you to think, than a regular «epic trance journey».

A friendship is one thing, but continuous development is vitally important. This is why the fellows decided not to take a break at the level of current achievements and grounded their own record label. «By the times someone discovers the points of coincidence with the colleagues not only in terms of business, but also creative sphere – that is always a positive experience! – Unification of musical efforts in frames of one label is our next and by no means unimportant step in creative self-fulfillment».

It is important to mention that the quad is not going to limit the newborn imprint’s catalog only with own productions. Intricate Records is also a promising platform for implementation of creative aspiration of other talented producers who feel themselves on the same wave quite often.

«Right at the moment there is no single record label which coincides with my musical taste and general conception, which I would like to see being embodied. Starting a new imprint with the fellow guys, I’m looking forward to the having the possibility of fulfilling myself as an A&R-manager and making the current musical world at least a little bit better. We are going to collaborate with our friends and associates from around the world. I certainly believe, if such projects are held with well-intentioned mood and built on relations of friendship, there are certain chances to make something special and terminative».
