‘Ten Years of Med School’ celebrates the plethora of talent to have emerged over the past decade showcasing snapshots of the imprint’s most memorable releases alongside hints of an even brighter future. Originally the understated sister label of Hospital Records, Med School is now a standalone soldier playing a significant role in electronic music, scouring every hidden corner of drum & bass and beyond.

The release showcases 18 brand new and exclusive tracks, including some stunning remixes of the label’s finest moments. Ivy Lab lead Etherwood’s uplifting ‘We’re Nothing Without Love’ down a more ominous path while Kimyan Law strips down Royalston’s drum crazy ‘Jungle Gone Down’. Frederic Robinson injects a cloud-like bounce into Keeno’s ‘Nocturne’ and Bop gives ‘Pray’ by The Erised a stunning 170bpm rework.

The album also features a host of new creations and collaborations. Etherwood and Royalston prove that opposites attract on ‘Eyes On Me’ which brilliantly combines subtle, soulful overtones with a dark, metallic allure. Newest Med School recruit Whiney presents the deep, melancholic magic of ‘Nightfall’ while label veteran Lung returns with the energetic ‘To Infinity & Be Gone’. There are also fresh contributions from the roster’s past, present and future, including works from Anile, Rawtekk, G.H.O.S.T, Blu Mar Ten, Joe Syntax, Electrosoul System, Sunchase and more.

The ten year celebrations don’t end there as Etherwood rediscovers some back catalogue highlights and blends with the album’s new material in a continuous DJ mix of 100% Med School music.

The quality of the label is without question and this release is no different. Med School stays true to its foundations of championing forward-thinking and emerging talent - here’s to the next ten!

Kicking off the EP, Dezza delivers the deliciously deep and sensual "True," a late-night anthem with an impossibly infectious groove. Fresh off his hit remix of Vintage & Morelli's "Desire," which was supported on radio by Above & Beyond, Dezza continues to craft emotive and layered, yet club-friendly compositions, a niche that he has truly mastered in his decade-long career. We affectionally welcome back Swedish virtuoso Claes Rosen, one of the very first artists to sign with our imprint, for a characteristically melodic and sun-kissed take on Justin Oh's classic, "Good Morning." Summer-flavored instrumentation and a buoyant, yet chilled house groove unite to create an uplifting soundscape. Globally recognized progressive house artist and fellow Silk veteran Espen follows suit with "So Blue," an atmospheric, after-hours gem. Evocative, cinematic textures permeate the other-worldly soundscape from start to finish. Right down to its stargazing title (not to mention artwork!), ‘Cerulean’ picks up right where late March marvel ‘Aurora’ left off. Vibrant drums, adamant bass, flaming FX fills and squalling 303 all project it skybound. A friendship is one thing, but continuous development is vitally important. This is why the fellows decided not to take a break at the level of current achievements and grounded their own record label. «By the times someone discovers the points of coincidence with the colleagues not only in terms of business, but also creative sphere – that is always a positive experience! – Unification of musical efforts in frames of one label is our next and by no means unimportant step in creative self-fulfillment».

It is important to mention that the quad is not going to limit the newborn imprint’s catalog only with own productions. Intricate Records is also a promising platform for implementation of creative aspiration of other talented producers who feel themselves on the same wave quite often.

«Right at the moment there is no single record label which coincides with my musical taste and general conception, which I would like to see being embodied. Starting a new imprint with the fellow guys, I’m looking forward to the having the possibility of fulfilling myself as an A&R-manager and making the current musical world at least a little bit better. We are going to collaborate with our friends and associates from around the world. I certainly believe, if such projects are held with well-intentioned mood and built on relations of friendship, there are certain chances to make something special and terminative».
