In just a few years on the melodic house scene, Grafine has already made a name for himself as a master of airy summer motifs and dreamy atmospheres. It's always a tall order remixing a fan favorite, but we have taken on the challenge with a new EP of remixes of Sam Davies' classic "Sunbound." A song that witnessed radio support from the likes of Roger Shah, Kyau & Albert, and Cosmic Gate, Sam's original mix proved to be one of the highlights of our 2016 release schedule. We are thrilled to present new interpretations by veteran contributors AWD and Universal Solution, both English artists with tremendous artistic talents.

Kicking off the release, Birmingham product AWD contributes his third remix to our imprint in as many years. A high-octane groove is met by a variety of rapturous synths, all of which offer stunning variations on the original theme. The ethereal vocal stabs from the original version dot the colorful sonic landscape as well. Following a relatively subdued main breakdown, in which the themes unwind and then regenerate, the euphoric main chords are unleashed upon the listener with feverish force and excitement.

Perfectly complementing AWD's trance-influenced, peak-hour interpretation, fellow British veteran Universal Solution offers a deeper and more dream-like progressive house rendering. One of Universal Solution's great compositional gifts is his ability to blend "acoustic" drums into the rhythm section of his tracks; the layered percussive elements in this inspired remix are especially mesmerizing. Meanwhile, a variety of equally hypnotic melodic themes slowly crescendo throughout the track, leading to a thrilling aural climax, in which myriad sonic layers mellifluously coalesce.

Remixing Koelle's track ‘Falling upwards’ Featuring Margret on vocals. I loved the warm recording of the piano in the original so I began with overdubbing some piano of my own interpretations. I also feature the Cello and Violin at the breakdowns to embody some more ideas.🎶
Koelles Synth work was perfect on its own so I weaved in these sounds like silk towards the end without changing a thing.🎼🎧
Maybe this would suit a warm afternoon on the deck with a few drinks at sundown.🌄

It is important to mention that the quad is not going to limit the newborn imprint’s catalog only with own productions. Intricate Records is also a promising platform for implementation of creative aspiration of other talented producers who feel themselves on the same wave quite often.

«Right at the moment there is no single record label which coincides with my musical taste and general conception, which I would like to see being embodied. Starting a new imprint with the fellow guys, I’m looking forward to the having the possibility of fulfilling myself as an A&R-manager and making the current musical world at least a little bit better. We are going to collaborate with our friends and associates from around the world. I certainly believe, if such projects are held with well-intentioned mood and built on relations of friendship, there are certain chances to make something special and terminative».
