Accomplished collaborators El Mundo & Zazou work their magic once more on a pair of superb new tunes for Kindisch.

El Mundo has been in the scene for 20 years, firstly as a DJ in his hometown of Nijmegen before building an international reputation alongside Satori. Once he moved to Berlin, he hooked up with Zazou and found some real musical kinship which led to releases on various fine labels as well as the birth of his Quetame label. Meanwhile, Zazou is an instrumentalist at heart and every new track he makes is based solely on analog hardware: synths, drum machines, samplers guitars, and effect pedals. He has done it all from downtempo to tribal to deep house and impresses again on this new release.

Their first tune is 'Speed Of Sound,' a gorgeously deep house cut with a lullaby-like main melody that could be a long-lost brother to Booka Shade's dance classic 'Body Language.' Here the chords are paired with a lush guitar line and rolling bassline that is sure to get plenty of parties under its spell. Add in whispered vocals and you have a subtly standout tune. 'Sleeping In The Rain' picks up the pace with a more angsty house groove, textured hits and raw guitar riffs. It's a unique mix of sounds and styles with a subversive filtered vocal floating high above as the lush chords help elevate your mood.

These are two delicate but devastating house tracks.

Frau Blau label boss Kadosh lands on the legendary Family Piknik with a catchy techno banger - 'Samurai'. Known for his quality releases on labels such as Innervisions, Live at Robert Johnson and Disco Halal, Kadosh regularly rubs shoulders with like-minded DJs Dixon, Âme, Solomun, and Damian Lazarus. His infectious grooves that have won him many A-list supporters and high profile gigs across the world seeing him playing in Tulum, Ibiza, London and beyond. ‘Samurai’ in original form is a tough, dark groove with bags of personality. A bubbly low end and sparse percussive keep the groove deep and ice cool for the perfect mid-set bruiser where the room is fully focused, heads down and ready to party. The short break serves to reset the floor before bright keys inject new energy and a powerful crescendo. Plaisirs Sonores Records, the Montreal-based label founded by Hicky & Kalo, is thrilled to announce its monumental 50th release. 

To mark this significant milestone, the label presents two exceptional remixes of previously released tracks by the label founders. 

Karmon, the prodigious talent associated with Diynamic, emerges from a three-year hiatus to bestow an illustrious remix upon the timeless 'Time We Spent Together.' In his signature style, Karmon crafts a masterpiece that is destined to become an instant classic, honoring the melody of Hicky & Kalo. 

Makebo, known for his distinctive blend of organic and progressive elements, takes the reins on 'Luminous Path,' infusing the original track with his unique touch. Already championed by industry luminaries such as Lee Burridge, Hernan Cattaneo, Amonita, and M.O.S., Makebo's remix is set to captivate both old and new audiences. 

Label founders Hicky & Kalo express their gratitude for the journey so far: "Reaching our 50th release is a momentous occasion. Coming at you with his very first release on Hive Audio is SOAME, a Zurich-based producer who has been picking up traction releasewise in the past three or four years despite being a veteran in the Swiss party scene in which he's been actively involved in for way more than a decade. For his label debut we see SOAME teaming up with British vocalist Jinadu, a creative force who's been working alongside masters like Kirk DiGiorgio, Jimpster, Fred Everything and many others in the past.

Their original version of „Sun“ is an immaculate amalgamation of deep, athmospheric, yet sparse TechHouse and captivating, soulful and touching, partly even longing vocals, predestined to stand out as unquestioned highlight in every groove-bound DJ set for now and an ongoing eternity being an instant classic that is about to stand the test of time.

On remix duties for „Sun“ is Dario D'Attis, a longtime friend and staple within the Hive Audio roster. His take on the original keeps track of the deep, soulful vibe whilst, adds a new rolling bassline motif and a swinging, hyper-seductive groove that provides a little more of a pump for buzzing dancefloors and crowds already floating a few inches above the ground.

Finally SOAME delivers his own personal re-lick of „Sun“ with his so-called 'Gypsy Mix'. Taking on another angle we see the track being transferred into a new, still deep, yet partly even balearic context, bringing on panoramic arrangements touched by big time melancholia and the beauty of a sinking sun turning into a fireball whilst touching the endless horizon and the calm swell inherent to big ocean waters.

«Intricate Records is something tangible and emerging from our long-term friendship and creative relations. – It is hard to imagine that someone will make an objection regarding many associable details and ideas of our creative work. The most significant part is that our preferences and tastes intricately but harmoniously amplify each other in most cases. All of us feel it. That is why the creation of a record label is a logical step for our career».

A friendship is one thing, but continuous development is vitally important. This is why the fellows decided not to take a break at the level of current achievements and grounded their own record label. «By the times someone discovers the points of coincidence with the colleagues not only in terms of business, but also creative sphere – that is always a positive experience! – Unification of musical efforts in frames of one label is our next and by no means unimportant step in creative self-fulfillment».

It is important to mention that the quad is not going to limit the newborn imprint’s catalog only with own productions. Intricate Records is also a promising platform for implementation of creative aspiration of other talented producers who feel themselves on the same wave quite often.

«Right at the moment there is no single record label which coincides with my musical taste and general conception, which I would like to see being embodied. Starting a new imprint with the fellow guys, I’m looking forward to the having the possibility of fulfilling myself as an A&R-manager and making the current musical world at least a little bit better. We are going to collaborate with our friends and associates from around the world. I certainly believe, if such projects are held with well-intentioned mood and built on relations of friendship, there are certain chances to make something special and terminative».
