Released back in 2006, 'Atlas' has reached its ten year anniversary and what better way to celebrate than with some shiny new remixes? From one duo another, Swiss pair Adriatique have swapped DIYmanic for devilish with their new re-imagining.

They've taken the techno bruiser and turned into a twinkly builder, one that keeps intact all of the components that make the original so good. The colossal main riff is still there, creating a nice amount of dread while tones flutter innocently in the background.

It's always a tall order remixing a fan favorite, but we have taken on the challenge with a new EP of remixes of Sam Davies' classic "Sunbound." A song that witnessed radio support from the likes of Roger Shah, Kyau & Albert, and Cosmic Gate, Sam's original mix proved to be one of the highlights of our 2016 release schedule. We are thrilled to present new interpretations by veteran contributors AWD and Universal Solution, both English artists with tremendous artistic talents.

Kicking off the release, Birmingham product AWD contributes his third remix to our imprint in as many years. A high-octane groove is met by a variety of rapturous synths, all of which offer stunning variations on the original theme. The ethereal vocal stabs from the original version dot the colorful sonic landscape as well. Following a relatively subdued main breakdown, in which the themes unwind and then regenerate, the euphoric main chords are unleashed upon the listener with feverish force and excitement.

Perfectly complementing AWD's trance-influenced, peak-hour interpretation, fellow British veteran Universal Solution offers a deeper and more dream-like progressive house rendering. One of Universal Solution's great compositional gifts is his ability to blend "acoustic" drums into the rhythm section of his tracks; the layered percussive elements in this inspired remix are especially mesmerizing. Meanwhile, a variety of equally hypnotic melodic themes slowly crescendo throughout the track, leading to a thrilling aural climax, in which myriad sonic layers mellifluously coalesce.

Sam Davies - Sunbound (Universal Solution Remix)

A self-proclaimed polycephalous dragon, Alex and Andrew's two heads have combined with great effect within the underground dance scene. Coming together once more under their Lanvary production guise, a fourth original EP finds its way to the Particles catalogues through the mighty "Leviathan".

Always able to make sound judgements in their production environment, Lanvary's musical acumen has never been in doubt. Joining together from "two different musical perspectives", the duo has established their blue-chip credentials with a string of impressive releases across a plethora of high-calibre imprints. Thus, over a century of production credits sit proudly against their name since the "Airtight" EP found success on Michael and Levan and Stiven Rivic's Mistique Digital in November 2010.

Since then, a rich seam of original music has found its way to the likes of Stellar Fountain, Stripped Digital and Silk Music with notable success. Furthermore, Particles has found a home for a wealth of the Lanvary production material. The "Micromegas", "Slingshot Ride" and "Penumbra" EPs, have all showcased a range of progressive house sounds, as has a strong reworking of Kastis Torrau and Donatello's "Genesis" in February 2017.

Now returning to the label, Particles is delighted to announce the release of a fourth original EP, this time in the shape of the bold, "Levithan". Opener, "Akyoomen", begins with a delicious bouncing bass groove that anchors tightly to a strong kick. Hi-hats and percussive white-noise effects wash and pan across the stereo-spectrum as a luscious, filtered pad fills the mid-range frequencies. Elegantly evolving with rippling arpeggio structures, an intelligently worked vocal arrangement provides pitched character, repeated in the third movement after a typically dynamic breakdown. The resultant work is a sure-fire dance floor destroyer for the spring and summer months.

The title track is filled with the same immaculate production approach as its partner as a huge, rasping, pitch bent bass note signals intent for the deep, rich, dance-floor groove to follow. Surrounded by percussive layers and gated synth line, the evolving, squelching bass line adds dynamism and interest. Creating a superbly executed hypnotic flow, "Leviathan" bubbles under a sea of additional production material that creates a dark and mesmerising offering that is testament to the skill and attention to detail present in the Lanvary "musical kitchen".

Lurking in the depths of the underground music ocean, Lanvary are at the peak of their powers as their "Leviathan" is brought to the surface to wreak aural havoc upon unsuspecting club-goers the world over.

The unforgettably lush, melodic, and cinematic music of Marsh has graced our label since 2012. The UK-based composer has managed to attract fans from both ends of the electronic music spectrum, from deep house to trance, ever since, in large part due to the influential support of Above & Beyond, Chicane, and various other global leaders. A half-decade of artistic growth has led the London native to a defining moment in his career: the release of "Life On The Shore," his debut artist album.

Straddling deep and (melodic) progressive house, Marsh's twelve breathtaking album cuts invoke an air of romance, if not eroticism, as gentle grooves, distant atmospheric effects, and soothing, yet indelible melodic themes envelop the listener. Ellie Shantz, Katherine Amy, and Marcelle Antunes, all newcomers to our imprint, treat us to a total of five standout vocal contributions to Marsh's dream-like soundscapes. Rendering the listener pensive and profoundly at peace, "Life On The Shore," in the final analysis, seems to conjure a utopian existence, in which life is both more relaxed and spiritually fulfilling.

Fresh off a recent live appearance at Luminosity Beach Festival, the Serbian phenom presents "Aurora," a hypnotic and truly breathtaking progressive opus.

Kicking off with a deep-progressive rhythm, "Aurora" offers an evocative soundscape in the early going, courtesy of lush and sensual pads, as well as a variety of celestially inspired arp lines. The song's most emotionally incisive melodic element arrives shortly thereafter: an ethereal series of pitched-down vocal effects, the soulfulness of which immediately elicits the listener's vulnerability. The progression gently crescendoes, ultimately leading to a cinematic, string-backed orchestral section, which is later joined by a rousing new lead theme, featuring an array of euphonious and euphoric synths. As if birthed from the far reaches of the cosmos, the indelibly poignant theme that arrives at this moment (and continues through the drop) serves as a sort of spiritual beacon for the listener and offers a profound catharsis.

Sonny Wharton has revealed his hotly anticipated new single ‘All or Nothing’, out now via Steve Angello’s SIZE Records. The track, a follow up to his highly acclaimed SIZE release ‘Vice’, contains a deep rumbling bassline, with slowed vocal samples layered over the brooding chords of the production.

  Having established himself as one of the finest producers to emerge from the UK, Sonny kickstarted his music career by winning a mix-tape competition for Renaissance and DJ Mag, which catapulted the British DJ right into the heart of Ibiza’s nightlife, with high profile shows across the Island.

Over the course of his career so far, Sonny has gained strong support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Danny Howard, as well as Fatboy Slim, who named Sonny his ‘producer of the year’ in 2012. Not stopping there, Carl Cox handpicked Sonny’s single ‘Raindance’ as his ‘Ibiza Tune Of The Summer’ for Radio 1’s Review Show last year.

Stephan Bodzin: a classically trained musician, vastly experienced producer and master of melody.
