We put the fourth chapter of our Podcast Series into the capable hands of @ameeva who we have befriended during lockdown over a distance between London and Berlin. Alex has recently released his debut LP 'Fractura del Sueño' via the Parisian @lowless-music and keeps busy by co-running @puntoyapartemusic mix series and M I O R O_mag both focusing on inquiring into the rich spectrum of electronic music and club culture in all its shapes and colours. 

In this mix, Ameeva gently lures us into his richly atmospheric and deeply emotional world which is as dreamy as it is eye-opening. Solids melt into liquids and evaporate only to crystallize into new forms. Reality fluctuates between perception and imagination. Slippery memories of places long forgotten are as fragile as our existence. One moment feels like a single breath could blow it all away. MARMO, a collaborative project between Christian Duka and Marco Maldarella, was born out of friendship and shared passion for music-making. Starting off respectively as the electric guitarist and singer in a metal band nearly a decade ago, the pair have worked their way through various flavours of electronic music inhabiting someplace between ambient and dance music.

Christian Duka is a multifaceted music and sound artist who works primarily with spatial audio. He has collaborated with a wide range of artists across various disciplines, from free improvisation to contemporary digital dance to experimental and dance electronic music. Christian Duka is also a versatile DJ moving fluidly between experimental ambient realms and the physical energy of dance music — often blurring the line between the two in experimental ways: left-field bass, smokey dubbed-out jazzy jungle & dnb, psychedelic techno & trance for genre-fluid, bass-heavy, atmospheric, introspective and euphoric journeys.

Notable collaborative projects include the interdisciplinary work "UR: Human Presence" with Jose Macabra, Pell Ensemble, and Elyssavet Sfyri, the spatial drone-bath performance "The Listening Body" with Hems, Merkaba Macabre, and Pascal Savy, a series of live performances in collaboration with free improvisers such as John Butcher, Ute Kanngiesser, Lucie Stepankova, David Toop, Sharon Gal, and Aimee Theriot (4DSOUND), exploring the fusion of free improvisation and live electronics in three-dimensional audio, and the electronic music projects MARMO & Vādin with Marco Maldarella and Avsluta, respectively, with releases on various international record labels (Utter, Offen, Area127, Secuencias Temporales).

Beyond his own artistic projects, he taught electronic music, audio production and sound design at SAE London and Greenwich University and founded Amoenus, a non-profit organization that promotes and supports spatial sound in immersive arts through residency programs, workshops, and public events.
