American producer James Cook has quietly built a reputation for unhurried yet deeply considered electronic music. First appearing on Greta Cottage Workshop back in 2013 with his debut CD album 'Sleep Deep, Mountain King' and later stepping out under his Black Point alias for two vinyl releases on Cologne’s revered Out To Lunch, Cook’s productions have always carried a sense of clarity and patience.

Long-time readers may remember that in July 2020 we published IA MIX 336 Black Point, a revealing mix and interview that offered insight into both his background in music and production techniques. That mix hinted at the directions he would later explore, and 'EP 2' issued through Tokyo-based @format-records (pronounced "format"), extends that trajectory - gathering fragments of the past decade into a finely detailed four tracker.

Founded in April 2024, Australian imprint DU:RA has quickly mapped out its sound through a series of digital outings, drawing on strands of deep techno, house and bass-driven electronics. The label now marks a new chapter with its first vinyl release, delivered by fellow co-founder n-trip.

The four-track EP highlights n-trip’s approach to sound design and atmosphere, moving fluidly between submerged textures, heavyweight rhythms and raw machine energy. MML' is built around a pounding bass drum and flickering glacial synths, maintaining a taut tension across its runtime.

Analogical Force welcomes back @moy for his third outing on the label. ‘Ghostware EP’ delivers four tracks that push his hybrid of braindance, acid and electro into bold new territory.

Side A opens with Kernel Panic, a pacy cut that flips between breakbeats and 4/4 drive, punctuated by TR727 whistles and percussion, before Megazone dives into chopped breaks, thick bass and a conversation between a 303 and FM-modulated 101. Together they form a high-energy pairing that refracts rave DNA into something sharper and more futuristic.

On the flip, the title track Ghostware goes widescreen with heavy bass, intricate breakbeat manipulations, the unmistakable Korg M1 piano and soaring melodic acid, all tied together by wistful pads and sudden reverbs. Voidwave closes the EP on a darker, twisted note, with slithering AFX Station basslines, constantly evolving acid, and breaks chopped into timing flips that constantly disorient the rhythm.

With Ghostware, MOY refines his sound while embracing new techniques and sharper contrasts. It’s his most progressive and fully realised work to date for Analogical Force, reaffirming both artist and label’s place at the forefront of modern braindance.

BRISTOL,United Kingdom, Monday, August 18th, 2025—A multifaceted artist with a formal and lifelong training in jazz and electronic music, ZOiD (Daniel Jacobson), launches his seventh album Industrial Wind Quartet in collaboration with Cassiopeia Wind Quintet through his label Zoitrax, with twelve tracks available digitally through all streaming platforms including Bandcamp and limited edition vinyl starting on November 7th, 2025.

Industrial Wind Quartet is home to twelve tracks, with nine original pieces composed and arranged by ZOiD in collaboration with Ireland’s finest wind musicians from Cassiopeia Wind Quintet.

Four of the five talented members performed for the album: Deirdre O'Leary on clarinet and bass clarinet, John Hearne on bassoon, Cormac Ó hAodáin on French horn and Catriona Ryan on flute. Future live shows will also feature the Quintet's oboe player, Matthew Manning.

The album is rounded out by three remixes from some of the best techno and IDM producers: μ-Ziq (Mike Paradinas), EOMAC (Ian McDonnell) and Dan Curtin, each adding their own creative spin.

New Beat swagger meets EBM menace on the latest Kri release. New York based producer, DJ and Samo Records owner Facets channels the raw spirit of late ’80s New Beat and EBM into a modern club context with stripped-down rhythms and tense electronics lock.

Four original tracks are bolstered with two heavyweight remixes courtesy of Marcello Giordani, the Italo Deviance maestro, and the iron-fisted British techno icon Broken English Club / Oliver Ho.

Lathe cut vinyl and digital will be released on the 29th of October 2025.
