Following standout appearances on Feel My Bicep, Unknown To The Unknown, and E-MISSIONS, Irish-born DJ/producer Cromby hits Rekids with a four-track EP of crisp techno cuts. Heavily utilising the sound of hardware across the release, ‘Twisted Future EP’ sees Cromby explore the depths of these classic sound palettes over robust techno frameworks. 

‘IXP-42’ brings crunching drums and wiggling synths together for over two minutes, building tension before eventually, the much-awaited bassline comes in thick and fast. ‘Follow The Bass’ brings a dose of the unusual to proceedings, with snaking FM leads modulating throughout a maze of sizzling percussion.

On the flip, Bleep meets Baltimore on ‘Relief’, with meaty acid lines, vocals and clattering drums sparring with each other across the track, while ‘Vortex’ rounds off the release, with bright shimmering stabs peppering the stomping drums and distinct squelch of the 303.

On his follow-up to ROOS10, French DJ and producer Adam BFD lets imagination thrive with five mesmerizing breaksy house cuts, best heard under a star-lit sky. Duality flows seamlessly throughout the whole record, Adam harnessing the power to connect everyday experiences with a higher state of consciousness.

The EP kicks off with ‘Digital Tales’ which layers wistful secrets over mood-altering pads; it’s hypnotic undertone grounding and continuous. ‘Cirrus Dreamz' ascends even further into the clouds, it’s steady pace expertly infused with cosmic melody and shuffling rhythms.

In a world driven by hyper-connectivity, Adam’s productions are a welcome reminder to stop and explore, none more so than in the immersive world of B side opener ‘1st sight’. Dynamic percussion provides the movement, while meditative sonics produce the feeling of being swept up in a magic carpet and taken along for the ride. Adam’s depth of field widens in title track ‘Rose’, a quasi-epic composition combining all the best elements of house and breakbeat.

The record comes to a contemplative halt with ‘Siniestro’ - an ambient bubble-bath with field recordings poignantly placed across developing pads yearning for connection; showcasing another side to a producer who knows how to tug at the heartstrings.

sprinkle some techno-DNA over his spacious productions, his
machines often take you much deeper into the realm.

Premiering the lysergic ‘Dong’ - a track that will remind some Dutch techno heads
of early Steve Rachmad productions. Futuristic funk in optima
forma delivered by one of Amsterdam’s finest.

Yet another innovative release from our friends at @delichting with ‘RDS Theme’ by @0rds0 . What better way to introduce the record than with words from the man himself: 

‘I feel honored to finally present my first EP on de Lichting. All tracks except A1 were made during my COVID-19 quarantine between 8th-19th July 2021 on an EMU E64 and KORG MS2000. With the EP, I tried to cover most of the sounds that I regularly play during my DJ sets. Side A starts with two house cuts, ‘CAL01’ and ‘Emspacer’ inspired by some of my favourite house records, and ends with the electro title track ‘RDS THEME’. Side B, starts with the minimal-ish ‘Substance’, followed by two Ambient Techno/IDM cuts ‘Trapswet’ and ‘Cwejfx’. Personally, I feel that the tracklist reflects the process of being isolated, which on the one hand, enabled me to (finally) work on music without being distracted, and on the other hand, got me into a melancholic mood over time’.

'Adam BFD first burst onto the scene with his distinct, emotive driven productions, making a name for himself as an artist bridging the gap between electro, breaks and house through tear-jerking melodies and cinematic euphoria. Now based in Paris, Adam’s music represents escapism in its truest and most colourful sense; an outlet to pour his emotions into as the words begin to fail him. The characters and places Adam’s music evokes are a testament to his art - sights of emerald green fields and the smell of delicately grown flora wash over - their tangibility sitting on the tip of your senses like a bird perched on a treetop.

Adam’s world has grown and formed its very own ecosystem, feeling personal yet touching upon universal truths. In recent months BFD’s immersive storytelling has continued to unravel, with three stand out releases on UK mainstay Lobster Theremin. The Paris based DJ and producer now debuts on Shall Not Fade’s Lost Palms label, marking a watershed moment in his relatively short career. The six track EP spans cosmic breaks and ambient soundscapes that give off an almost audio-visual vibe.

Adam’s tracks are generally accompanied by meditative song titles and sprawling pads, and EP opener ‘I’ve Been Waiting’ encompasses this perspective. The track's subtle movement signifies that change is constant, but there’s always beauty to be found whether we’re waiting or not. ‘Sonar’ enters the fray with its bass heavy kickdrums and chopping breaks. Duality is sourced within the tracks melancholy, yet hopeful musicality, before the A-side comes to a close with ‘What’s Next’ - an ambient dreamscape that plays out amongst the cosmos. 

Title track ‘Innervisions kicks things off again, this time verging slightly left but still distinctly Adam, with an ethereal glow and moon-lit glaze. Buoyant and gated pads communicate the mood in ‘M1 & I’, before The record’s end comes in the form of subaquatic beats and ocean blue arpeggios, shimmering brightly across the surface. Personal, intricate and emotive, ‘Innervisions’ is a candid story told from a producer who lets the music do the talking.  '

The Lyon-based producer Sanjib touches upon atmospheric heights and elevated consciousness with his deep techno productions, including on this new record. The EP takes off with the floaty title track Flavours Awakening, which feels like a melancholic dub-heavy journey, followed by the trippy and just as touching Sensing Algorithm. Both productions clearly have an emotional undertone in which Sanjib once again focuses on establishing a universe dedicated to travel and introspection.

On our premiere pick, Concrete Gold, one of the minds behind Crescent London, showcases a slower take on Flavours Awakening, transforming the emotional track into a hypnotic adaptation while not letting go of the emotional inquiry.

@matt-whitehead serves up a hot slab of acid house goodness that is as authentically '80s as you can possibly get.
